Tamara POV
''Tamara!''
''Ye!'' I said with a honey bun in my mouth.
''TAMARA!''
''What?''
''TAMARA BURTON!''
''I'M COMING!''
I rushed down the stairs to see what my Mom wanted when I saw a policeman.
''What's he doing here Mom?''
''Oh he has to ask you a few questions about your friend.''
''Oh okay.''
I sat across from the policeman or detective, whatever he wants to call himself.
''I'm Detective Redband and you must be Tamara Burton.''
''Yes that's right.''
He pulled out his pen and notebook, ''So how close were you and this girl uh by the name of Lindsay.''
Oh god, his breath stinks.
''Very close, everyone loved her, she was a great person.''
''And were you at the kickback the day she was murdered?''
''Yes.''
''Tell me about it.''
''So Medusa was having this kickback, and everyone came except Monique because she was studying with that boy Josh, and Lindsay didn't like the kickback, she thought it was boring.''
''Ya know what? I think you fixing to tell a lie.''
''What does that even mean?''
''You're lying.''
''No I'm not, I'm not even finished.''
''Go on.''
''So she left and we continued the kickback, Lindsay walked home, then hours later, her Mom called, and her boyfriend called, to see where she was, and if I'd seen her.''
''It feels like you're telling the truth, but I need evidence. How do I know you didn't kill her?''
''Why would I kill my best friend?''
''Tamara, a lot of people kill their friends, for popularity.''
''I wouldn't no person's life should be taken for no reason.''
Total lies. I'm lying about everything.
''I preciate yo cooperation, but for now you are still considered a suspect for now until I get more evidence, and I only have three more interviews, the boyfriend, Rochelle, and Medusa.''
''Alright detective.''
''Thank you Mrs. Burton.''
''Yeah you're welcome.''
What evidence could he possibly have for me, that rules me out? It was easy to rule Monique out because she wasn't there. But what about me? I know that redneck bastard thinks I did it already. His old stanking breath, smelling like must. His breath is foul. It can kill a whole species! But anyways, I am stressing out and stuff because I'm scared. How will this turn out for all of us? How will this impact our families?
