I leaned forwards in my seat, the couch cushions sinking in as I applied my weight to my legs. I eagerly flipped the page of my book, following my favorite characters as they entered yet another life-or-death situation. “And Jack swung around the corner to find…”

“Amber!” I jumped violently, slamming my book shut. “Amber, Amber, Amber!” I placed my book down besides me, glancing around the little room as a smile creeps up on my face at the sound of Hunter’s voice.

“Hunter?” I called out. In a moment, his cute face popped out into the doorway leading into the room I’m in. He had just about the biggest grin on his face, his blue eyes twinkling with mischief.

“Amber!” he said again, bounding over to me and jumping onto the couch on his knees and fists, leaning over towards me. “Guess what, guess what, guess what!”

“Hunter, did you pull another all nighter? You know you get crazy when you do that,” I said, raising my eyebrows with a smile.

“Nooo!” he said, sounding like he was five years old again.

“I don’t know Hunter.”

“Starbucks had a really great deal and -“

“Oh, no.”

“And I bought five cups!” he said really excitedly, jumping up and down while he was still on his knees, which made the entire couch jump and shift with him.

I laughed and shook my head. “Please don’t tell me you already drank all of them.”

“I did, I did!” he squealed, ducking and rolling off the couch onto the ground. He sprang back up and started jogging in place with a huge grin on his face. “I’ve never felt so alive!”

I shook my head and pushed myself up from my comfortable reading position and onto my knees, moving closer to Hunter. I reached forwards and cupped his face in my hands, leaning even closer to him so he would stop moving.

“Hunter Easton Hayes,” I started but he cut me off by pecking my lips really fast. My jaw dropped and I just stared at him as he grinned at me. He then proceeded to kiss my entire face until I laughed, landing a kiss on his cheek.

“I love you,” he said before kissing my lips again, full force this time. I let go of his face and wrapped my arms around his neck as he slowly pushed me closer to him. We finally broke apart, breathing hard and gazing into each other’s eyes.

“I would love you too…if only you had brought me home some coffee,” I teased after a moment.

Hunter’s smile fell, his eyes widening in shock. “I forgot your coffee!” he cried, letting go of me and dashing back across the room.

“Hunter, I was just -“

“I’ll be right back!” I shook my head and rubbed my face with my hands. Oh Hunter.

After Hunter left, I decided it would be a good idea to take a shower. I had just finished doing my hair when I glanced over at the clock. *Two hours? Where the heck was Hunter?*

I sighed and went back downstairs, heading back towards my book. I just had to know what Jack found.

I’m willing to bet it wasn’t as cute as what I found when I walked into the room. Hunter laid, completely passed out on the couch with my cup of coffee on the table next to him.

I carefully walked over to him, kneeling down next to his head. “Oh Hunter, what am I going to do with you?” I whispered with a smile as I ran my fingers through his soft, blonde hair. “What indeed.”
