"Turn my back towards the door. Feels so much better now. Don't even try anymore. Nothing left to lose. There's a voice that's in the air, saying don't look back nowhere. There's a voice that's always there." -Selena Gomez, Ghost of You.

-Selena's P.O.V.-
Sage was fast asleep in his car seat as I drove to no place in particular. That's a good thing considering I'm sobbing as I drive. He doesn't need to see his mother like this. It would just make him more upset anyways. I need to make this right. Jason will not sleep until he has Kayla in his arms. I was such a fool to think I could ever take her place.

More tears fall. Why am I not lovable enough? The pain of loving someone so much with every ache of your beating heart and you have to watch them love someone else. It would make you go insane. I did go insane. I wanted her to feel the pain I felt. So I made her life a living hell until she couldn't take it no more. I deserve this pain.

Sighing, I pulled out my iPhone. I called Jason one more time and as expected, he sent me straight to voicemail. Ending the call, I proceeded to drive. I reminisced that few good moments I ever had with Jason. Damn, those memories will probably mean nothing to him, but to me, they mean everything.

I kept driving until I pulled up to a hotel. Sage was still fast asleep. I collected our bags and carry Sage's carrier inside the building with me. Walking up to the reception desk, I order a room for the night. As I awaited for the clerk to get my key, I heard shouting.

"Come on, you stupid bitch!" The man hissed. A small whimper followed after.

A man turned the corner, dragging a girl by her hair. My eyes almost popped out of my skull when I saw the girl. What was she doing here with him? Jason told me plenty about Alexander and from what I heard, he isn't a good man.

Setting Sage's carrier down gently, I run over to them.

"Let go of her!" I demanded as I try to get his hand off of her hair, but my strength was weak compared to his.

"Mind your business, bitch." Alexander spat.

"No! She doesn't belong to you! She belongs to," I swallowed the lump in my throat and didn't let my tears fall, "Jason."

Kayla was shocked by my words and probably my presence. She didn't expect me to be here and neither did I. Saying those words hurt more than I ever thought it would. I'm saying a lot of things I never thought I would say. I'm defending a girl who I tried so hard to get rid of.

Alexander chuckled.

"Then he should've taken better care of her or else she wouldn't have ended up with me again."

"She didn't leave by choice. I made her leave." I admit. He didn't need to know that, but I felt like I had to say it aloud for Kayla.

"Does it look like I care for the reason why she left? No. All I care about is that she's mine now. Now, get out of my way or be sorry."

He proceeded to drag Kayla towards the doors. I had to think fast, but I've never been in this situation before. What do you do? I run up to Alexander and using all of my strength, I punch him straight in the noise. He let go of Kayla's hair, setting the poor girl free.

"Run to my car and take Sage with you." I said as I tossed the keys over to her.

She followed my orders and grabbed Sage's carrier before running out the doors. Alexander looked at me with an evil smirk. His nose was dripping blood.

"You shouldn't have done that."

"Maybe if you didn't abuse woman, I wouldn't have beat you like the pussy you are." I challenged.
