It was morning.
The wound was mending well yet her thoughts were unraveling.
Blinking her eyes she stared at the same ceiling before. It was one of the only things that actually felt familiar to her. Looking around her eyes searched the the woman from yesterday. She didn't see her, but her ears were able to find her. Carefully she stood slowly lifting her head up. Placing her hand on her head she felt the bandage. How soft it felt to touch.
She began to walk to the bathroom slowing placing each foot on the wood that made a noise occasionally. Peering her head inside she saw her. Her hair was tied behind her back, at least that's what it looked like. The woman was under a blanket sleeping in the bath. She looked kind of silly, but it did look rather comfortable. Turning Endora looked at the window. Small rays came from the window with the sun peering it's warm head. She began to wonder if she woke up too early considering her condition. Her thoughts were interrupted by a yell.
"Ladies, wake up! We must stay on work schedule."
Endora jumped at bit when she heard the unfamiliar voice, and a sound from the woman. She tossed over to where Endora could see her back. She looked at her unsure what to do, until a knock distracted her. Curiously she walked to the door.
"Robin." She heard as the knocks grew into bangs. She opened the door and looked at the person beyond the door. It was the man from yesterday. Unfortunately she couldn't remember his name fully. His eyes went wide for for a second. Surprised that she answered rather than his friend. "You should be resting." His tone was firm yet it felt soft to the ear. The man looked around the room. She was able to guess why. "In here." She began to walk to the bathroom with him following. Opening the door he looked at the woman's strange choice of a bed. He rolled his eyes.
"Robin, get up."
The woman-Robin groaned in response. The man reached over and pulled the blanket off of her. Robin curled up at bit. He walked out as Endora watched him. He grabbed the glass at her table side. She peered at him through the doorway slightly curious on how the situation would play out. To her surprise, he poured the water on her head. Not all of it.
Robin squinted her eyes as drops fell on her face and sprung up instantly. She wiped her face and fiercely glared at him. "Good morning." He sighed walking out. Robin groaned in frustration standing up. She stepped out the tub and walked out. "Wash up quickly. I'll find you something." Robin shut the door as Endora looked around. When she saw a towel she dipped in in the water and began to undress.
......................
She made sure not to used all of it. She glanced at the bucket as she wrapped the towel around her chest. Stepping out she was greeted by outstretched hands that held a dress. Looked like something a Villein would wear. "You do look about my size, so put this on. I already asked the physician's assistant to come to change your bandage." Reminded she placed her hand on her bandage that still coated her head. "I'll be back." When Endora blinked it felt like the woman disappeared. Doing as told she dressed herself being rather cautious to her head.
........................
The assistant did come. She placed a fresh one around her head as it smelt of fresh cotton. She walked out with Robin who wore a tan shirt and brown slacks. The were obviously meant for a man's body considering how they looked a bit larger on her. On her feet she wore boots that luckily weren't big on her feet. She followed Robin to the Mess hall.
It was morning so the kitchen was filled with the chefs, or people of other roles preparing food. Some was placed on tables as if it were a buffet. "Go find us a seat." She said before walking off. Staring at the many people Endora felt small. Not many stared at her, but they did notice that she wasn't wearing appropriate attire for a job at the castle. She began walking. Not too soon did she feel hands grab her arms. She jumped and tried to shake herself a loose. "Don't worry. It's just me." She turned around and saw the man with brown eyes and black hair.
"Leo?" His lips curled slightly into a kind smile. "It's nice you remembered." He grabbed her by her arm and lead her to an empty table. "Robin brought you here didn't she?"
She nodded. He sighed in irritation. "She told me she'd find me." She added in attempt to defend her for leaving her. Obviously she could tell his emotions didn't change. When Robin found them she held to plates. She sat one in front on Endora and glanced at Leo, her eyes doing a double take. "Why are you dressed like that?" Endora didn't notice or understand what made his attire so peculiar. When she saw the toast on her plate she began to eat. Never did she realise how hungry she was, nor could she possibly remember the last time she ate. "We don't want you to choke." Robin teased. Endora wiped the crumbs off her face and took a sip of water. Leo turned to Robin. "Walter said he would arrange something." he took a piece of Robin's food and she glared at him. "Great. Now if you want bread, grow some wheat." she retorted as he tossed the piece in his mouth. Robin was about to say something else untill someone walked over. Leo stood as they said something in his ear. When they left he stood. "Come on. Walter said to meet him in the palace." he said quickly. Robin got up holding her bread in her mouth. Endora got up as well and began to follow them. Following them through twists and turns they ended up outside. Were they lost? "Don't worry, its a short cut." Robin mumbled with the bread in her mouth to reassure her. Endora laughed a bit nodding. They may get in trouble for going through the garden for small actions do have cosequences. Endora couldn't pay too much attention the the beautiful scenery before her.
Beware of the Hawk.
She stopped. That wasn't a voice she recognized. Wasn't hers. Nor Leo's. Nor Robin's. There was a tree to her only a fewer feet away. "Was that you?" she whispered hesitantly.
Fate brought the bird to the light. The light woke the lion from the darkness of the land. The darkness brought upon the rulers to mask out the scheming mistress and her hawk. Though the hawk won't stop till the light is dimmed.
