I was the first one off the plane. And everybody knew why. Of course everyone also knew about what was going on and everyone was okay with it. Apparently not if no one told me. But, it's whatever.
No one wants to tell me anything. That kinda sucks though.
To think I have been friends with them for what seems like forever. We have been through a lot together and for them not to tell me they had interests in each other. I know it's not really any of my business, but they got to know of each other better because of me.
I quickly strut to the limo awaiting as I hear Jackie giggle at something someone said. I knew she wasn't surprised by us being in New York because she had been here when she turned 14. Her birthday is December 31 so we'll be here for her birthday as we celebrate the ball dropping.
Everyone getting in finally and the driver pulls off as Zayn closes the door. I turn my body and attention outside the limo and look out the window.
I have my arms crossed and feel someone scoot closer to me. I pay no attention as the driver continues on to the hotel.
"C'mon Sara" I hear Niall's voice through my thoughts.
"You can't be mad at them forever. We are on vacation." He reminds me, but I don't care.
"Who says I will be mad at them forever. I think I have a right to know if they get together or not. They're both my best friends, like I honestly think I should have known. I got them to know each other in person, and how come everyone else knew and not me? Huh? They should be trying to thank me, not hiding it from me." I spit back, about to blow over the edge.
"Well, I think it's because 1. It was obvious they liked each other and were gonna end up together anyway. 2. Being that I think everyone knew you were gonna act like this. No one ever wants to tell you about something that happens between everyone because we're afraid of your reaction. I don't know. I think everyone is kind of scared of your reactions, your standards are, like, the highest in this limo. Even higher than Liam's and I think everyone knows how high Liam sets his standards."
I look at Niall with the feeling of hurt and rejection showing in my eyes. "Are you guys really scared of me and my standards. I need to change them, huh?" I smile weakly.
"No! Don't change anything about you. That's why I . . . we, love you. Don't ever change. No matter what anyone says or thinks. You see what management did about me and my teeth."
"I think that's still wrong of them." I caress his cheek lightly, "I would still love you as much as I do now, with or without the braces. You will always be my best friend."
I see the slight hurt in Niall's eyes, but don't pay much attention to it. I know he has forgotten about his feelings for me as I wish I could do with my feelings for him.
"I told you he would calm her down!" I hear Zayn shout towards Liam.
"Aw poop." Liam replies. "You should have never bet on it babe. I think we all knew he was going to." I hear Danielle tell him.
"You guys bet on me?!" I ask, shocked that Liam would bet at all.
"That's $30 mate." I see Zayn smirk as Liam hands it over.
"Gr." I say, playing around, "You guys are so mean!"
We all laugh, carefree and recklessly.
We finally pull up to the Marriott and get the key card an go the rooms. We got 3 rooms so that we could all be connected with the doors on the sides in the middle room.
"I get the one bedroom suite!" I quickly call my dibs.
"Why?! Why does she get the one bed?!" Niall complained.
