Nobody Compares
CovenantZayn's POV
"I knew you'd follow me Zayn." It was Isabella. A small smile, so familiar to me, plastered on my face.
"I didn't mean to..." I began to speak as soon as I found my voice
"No need to explain, Zayn." She said. "I knew for myself that you will. And to be exact, I was really hoping you will follow me."
I stared at her, my heart beating wild. "Why?"
She smiled once again but this time, the smile that I keep on seeing on magazines and interviews. Very different from earlier. "Let's just say, I want you to follow me for something."
"Something what, Isabella." I asked. "Just be straight to the point."
She smirked. "Well I must say, you're good in keeping secrets." she looked to me with her piercing fierce eyes.
I frowned at her. So this is who really Isabella is? Opposite of what everyone knew about her? Why is she flirting with me? "You know, I hate playing games. Besides, I am dating someone and..."
"Psssh." She dismissed. "I know about that." then laughed. "Are you thinking that I am flirting with you because for your information Zayn, I am not." then sighed. "You never changed Zayn."
"What?" I asked, confused.
Her eyes became piercing again, this time, hard. "I know that you're thinking you know me Zayn. I can tell." she said. "Despite of times you've denied that you do."
"What are you trying to tell me?" I asked.
"Let's just put it this way." she said. "You know me and you really do but you are too denial to even listen to your heart."
Then I realized what she was trying to tell me.
Tricia.
Isabella.
I am standing in front a girl with double identity. A girl who's changed.
"Now look at me Zayn." She said. I looked to her. When our eyes met, I saw tears forming in her eyes. "You know me, don't you?"
I lost my strength to even say the name in my head. All along I was right. With that, I couldn't deny that Liam is also right.
A tear fell from her eyes. She did not wipe then away and instead allowed her to see me who she really is.
Not a bit of doubt. She is Tricia.
"Tricia." I finally blurted out. Our eyes still staring at each other. Through that, I began to feel the weight of emotions she have. The emotions that were kept and held on for so long.
Then she cried.
I hugged her right away. I can't be angry to this girl because that will be making me judging her. I don't exactly know what happened back then. I don't know her story. Her side. All I can do now is hug her.
"Shhhh." I consoled her. She sniffed and she pulled away.
"I am so sorry." She said wiping her tears away with the back of her hand.
"It's alright." I told her. "Wait first." I said and she looked to me. "How shall I call you? I mean..."
"You can call me Tricia but only when we are alone together, Zayn." She answered. "I cannot tell the other lads, your friends because.."
"Of Liam." I chimed in. "I understand."
"I don't want to let him know." She said. "Because I can't and I don't want to."
