I wake up surrounded by beeping noises, nurses, wires and tubes. A friendly looking nurse walking by sees me awake and stops to talk to me:
"Why do my knees hurt so bad?" I ask her inquisitively
"Oh! No one told you yet?" She says
I shake my head slowly,
"Well, you were in a bus accident and you and your friends were the only ones in the top floor and you flew forwards and your knees were damaged severely. We had to replace your patellas with fibreglass bones. You will probably be out of the hospital in about 2-3 days." She said matter of factly
"But where are my friends?!" I said in anguish.
"Oh, they were discharged yesterday, they should be back to visit you today." She explained. She walked out of the room then quickly ran back in to tell me no walking until my physiotherapist came in. (NiallsHeart13 I dedicate this chapter to you if I can do that?)
