Chapter one: Bad feeling

Conner found himself waking up next to Abby. How their relationship had been better since all the secrets were gone. No more lying to her any more. Conner loved Abby so much and he couldn’t wait till he married her. 

As Conner sat up he noticed Abby opening her eyes and looked at him with her beautiful smile.  ‘Morning’ she whispered to him.

‘Morning’ Conner smiled back as he lent into her with their lips touching and he began to kiss her soft lips gently.

‘What time is it?’ asked Abby as they separated.

‘It’s eight’ said Conner as he looked at the bedside table to find a digital cloak with the time on it.

Abby’s mobile began to ring with the song of Taio Cruz little bad girl from the bedside table.

Conner took Abby’s left hand allowing her to grab the phone in her right hand. Abby pressed a button on her phone and placed it next to her ear.

‘Abby speaking’ she said.

Conner kissed Abby on her left hand before he let go and climbed out of bed. As he went to go get some coffee Abby called him.

‘Conner!’ she said loudly.

‘What is wrong?’ asked Conner as he turned around. He found Abby already getting dressed.

‘Anomaly?’ was all he had to ask. Abby nodded at him. Conner rushed over and began to search for some clothes as Abby began to explain what was wrong.

Jess found herself in her normal position at the computer. About five minutes ago it had detected an anomaly. She had already called Abby who would let Conner know too while Matt and Emily had arrived five minutes before it went off. They had already left with captain Becker and she felt slightly disappointed she didn’t get time to see him as she only got a five second conversation with him.

 ‘What seems to be the problem’ said Lester who stood beside Jess. ‘An anomaly has been detected at a high school about a fifteen minute drive from here’ said Jess typing on her computer and putting in her ear piece.

‘Is anyone out there yet?’ asked Lester.

‘Matt and Emily are nearly there with captain Becker. Abby and Conner will get there as soon as possible’ said Jess.

‘Good’ said Lester as he left her side to go back to his office.

‘Matt can you read me’ said Jess into her ear piece.

‘Loud and clear Jess, we have just arrived we will let you know of any news soon. How long will Abby and Conner be’ asked Matt.

‘About five to ten minutes’ said Jess.

Captain Becker couldn’t get Jess of his mind and wished he had been able to get a conversation with Jess this morning which lasted more than around five seconds. He followed Matt and Emily into the school building with his gun at the ready encase he needed to use it.

‘We should split up’ said Emily to Matt.

‘You go that way’ Matt said pointing Captain Becker down a corridor heading towards the sports hall, ‘Emily and I will go this way’ said Matt not waiting for a reply and headed down a different corridor which led straight towards the first block of classrooms.

Conner and Abby arrived outside the school. They got out the car and headed into the school building by the rear.  As they got inside they found a teenage boy who looked around sixteen years old holding on one of their guns shooting directly at a dinosaur.

‘What is that’ asked Abby to Conner.

‘That is a’ began Conner.

‘Ceratops there not particularly friendly with their heads as solid as a rock and the claws too’ he pointed to a scrach down his chick’ That is how I got this’

‘Who are you’ asked Abby.

‘I am Shay’ he said to them as he shot the Ceratop as it came at them.

‘How did you get the gun’ asked Conner taking it off the teenager.

‘I found it. I know what it does. I know a lot about dinosaurs, but what I want to know is why there here?’ asked Shay.

‘We can not explain that’ said Abby looking at Conner.

‘Than I am not going to sit around and let this happen’ said Shay as he snatched the gun back from Conner and disappeared around the corner.

‘Oh great’ said Conner.  

 ‘Come on!’ said Abby running after the boy. Conner followed having a bad feeling about this.
