Arras POV
Brian and I sat down at the rounded table of the coffee shop that was located near the ocean, we ordered our beverages and of course I ordered what seems to be my baby's favourite treat a honey glazed donut. Brian watched me as I ate my donut, he laughed under his breath.
"What?" I asked.
"I don't know" he answered.
"Oh" I said.
After I finished my donut, which didn't take long, we sat and chatted, nothing big, just out plans in life and other stuff.
"Do you have a job?" Brian asked me,
"Ya I'm a teacher at California Elementary School," I answered, but obviously I was on maternity leave.
"Oh" he's answered.
It was almost five thirty, we were in there for and hour and a half.
"So" I said. Looking around the coffee shop.
"So" he repeated.
We left the coffee shop and we sat in his car, the sky was orange with a mixture of pink.
It was an awkward silence that I didn't want to break.
"You know I really like you Arra!" Brian said.
"Oh ya? I answered, I pretended I didn't care.
"Ya, I do" Brian said, he leaned in close to me, I didn't know what to do, do I kiss him? Do I not?
I backed away from him, he gave me a puzzled look, I changed the subject.
"So here's an important question I haven't asked you" I said.
"What's that" he answered
"Do u already have any kids?" I asked.
"Nope" he answered, looking at my belly than looking at me.
Ouch!! I said out loud, the baby kicked me very hard, nothing new, I am happy that the baby is moving, it means that he or she is healthy and still alive inside of me.
"What!" Brian yelled in a panic, he started the car and put his seatbelt on.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
Brian was confused.
"You-you thought I was in labour !" I laughed.
"Well ya!" He yelled, sweat started pouring down his face.
There was another awkward silence...
.....
"I think I should get home!" I said.
"O-oh okay"Brian answered, he started the car.
It didn't take long to get home,
"Bye Arra!" Brian yelled, from the car window,
"Bye Brian!" I yelled back, I gave a way before he pulled out of the driveway,
Bye Brian I whispered under my breath again.
