Chapter 5 - Like A Champion

Selena's POV

Beep Beep beep beep. 

My alarm went off. It was time to get up, it,s 4 in the morning and I needed to get ready, pack, and then head to California. Tomorrow is the first day to rehearse for the first episode. I am so excited but they still haven't told me what the show is called and what is mainly about. I raised up and stretch. Grab me clean underwear and bra then wen to the bathroom and got me a towel out from under the sink and turn on the shower.

Once, I got done I put on my underwear, bra, clothes and but me towel on my head then i got the blow dryer out from under the sink and headed to my room. I shut the door behind me andran and jump on my bed then plug in the bow dryer and started blow drying my hair.

I finally got done blow drying my hair and then started packing, I was running out of time and I needed to hurry.

"Selena hurry up!" My mom yelled from the bathroom. She was in there fixing her hair like she does every morning.

"Ok!" I yelled getting all aggravated. I finally got ALL my suitcase pack and was ready to leave. I got two of my suitcases and headed down the stairs and sat them at the door and then went back up in my room and got the other two and brought them down as well. Then went back up and put on my clothes that I was wearing.

"Selena you ready?!" Mom yelled walking out of th bathroom which was right beside my room upstairs.

"Yeah, now all we need to do it put the suitcases in the back somehow." I said stand up from sitting on my bed and started walking out my room.

"Got everything?" Mom ask putting her hand on my back pushing me forward.

"Wait!" I said and turn around and ran into my room.

"What did you forget?" Mom ask leaning on the doorway.

"I forgot this." I said pulling it off my mirror off of my dresser and showing it to mom. It was the picture Dallas took of me and Demi when we went swimming the other night. Demi gave it to me as a going away present.

"Oh, ok." Mom said and patted me on the back, "You're going to miss her."

"Yeah, I know I am, but I can come and visit and she can come vist me." I explained, "Member when we was little Demi and I wanted to be in a band together, but Demi wants to go solo, but somehow we want to become famous together." I said as we finally got stairs and grabbing the bags. I open the door and was surprised.

"Demi?" I said with a confused expression.

Demi's POV

I ask mom if we can go say a respectful goodbye to Selena. She said we could and we headed to Selena's house. It's 5 in the morning and I was surprise that I wasn't tired. I was up all night and I didn't sleep much and I'm still full of energy. We pulled in the her driveway and I already has tears forming in my eyes but I held it back. I walk up to Selena's door and put my arm up making a fist and was about to knock till she opens the door.

"Demi?" She said with a confused expression. 

I open up my fist and waved with a smile. "Hey Selena." Tears formed in her eyes she ran and jump into my arms giving me a hug. I couldn't help it I finally started crying. It's hard to say goodbye to friend since you known since you was little. Mandy and mom hug and was telling them to be careful, call us if you need anything, and all that stuff. Selena and I let go and I wipe the tear off that was rolling down her cheek.

"I want you to call me everyday or somehow talk to me and if anything happens you tell me. I'm there for you and always will be like I have been." I said wiping the tears off my face

"I love you Demi." She said and hug me one more time.

" I love you too." I pulled away, "Do you need help with those bags?" I ask smiling and sniffing.

"Yeah." She said and I walk in the doors and everyone carried two suitcases each. We put like 4 in the trunk of their car and then 3 on the backseat of her car. Selena's mom got in the driver seat and shut the door. Selena sat down in the passenger seat and I held the door open. I look in her hands and she had the picture I gave her as a going away present.

"I'm glad you're taking that " I said pointing at the picture that was in her hands that was laying her her lap. She look down at it and smiled then look up back at me.

"This the most important thing to me right now." She said. I can see the tears forming in her eyes again.

I smirk "We'll you don't need to be late plus you need the rest. Sleep on the way there and call me when you get there. Alright?"

"Alright." She said as I shut the door. Mom and I step back out of their way and waved as they back up out of their drive way and left.

"Let's go kiddo." Mom said putting her hand on my back pushing me towards the car. I got in and then we headed home. As we was heading home I was flashing back to all of our memories. I'm so proud of Selena, she followed her dream and she is going to be like a champion.
