"Hello?" Kyle's voice alarms us all. I stare at his mother in horror. She motions toward a door.
"Go! Now." She yells in a harsh whisper.
I scramble toward the door, barely making it in time.
"What was that?" Kyle's voice asked.
"Oh, I think we have critters. They even procreate. I'm pretty sure there are a few generations living here. The one that scurried off sounded pregnant." His mom is not talking about mice anymore.
"We will handle that alone though. You can go live your life." His dad stated.
"Okay...what's gotten into you two?"
"Nothing!" Both of his parents shouted.
"Okay. Hey is it okay if I have friends over?" Kyle asked.
"Sure Honey."
2 Hours Later...
"Dude, why are your parents acting strange?" A familiar male's voice inquired.
"I don't know, they weren't this weird when I left them. I think they get weirder the longer they are together." Kyle responds.
"Enough about your parents. Have you been talking to a hot girl?" Another familiar voice ask.
"Yeah, I don't know... I mean I wouldn't call it anything."
"But Eliana is smoking! She is every guys dream. And she's totally into you. What is wrong with you?" The familiar voice asks.
"Jean-Luc," Ha! I knew it was him. "you must be an idiot. He's still in love with the hottest girl I've ever seen, Brittany." A different familiar voice states.
"You can't blame him, she was a twelve out of ten." Who are these people?
"Quan, did you just compliment Brittany?" Mr.Familiar Two questions.
"Uh, Alessandro, is it that hard to believe that I'd compliment a girl?" Quan fires back.
"Guys, enough! I slept with Brittany." He mumbles the later part. He didn't tell them?
"Do my ears deceive me, or did you just admit to sleeping with Brittany?" Jean-Luc breaks my thoughts.
"I did it, I didn't even use protection. I've tried contacting her best friend, but she refuses to tell me where Brittany is hiding. I think she might be pregnant and I can't do anything!" His voice rises with every word.
I sit in his small hallway closet ignoring what is happening aground me. My brain deceives me by thinking if I any truly doing the right thing. Before I can process my next thought, the closet door opens. I can hear my heart pounding to break out of my chest. The creaking stops, so I look up. Starting me in the eyes are dark green eyes.... Kyle's mom's eyes.
"The boys went out, quick grab your things. My husband and I want to stay in yours and our grandchild's life, but Kyle can't know. It would kill him to know that he can't be in yours and the baby's life. I didn't raise him to leave his family. Raise my grandchild well." And with that she ushered me into a taxi and scurried off.
