Summer Road Trip

Chapter 27

(Liam's POV)

What is Harry staring at? But most importantly he talked!

Now what could get him to talk?

The only thing that I could think of is......HOPE!

I look away from Harry and to the front of our table.

Standing there was the one and only Hope!

"Oh my God." I hear Kaycee say from beside me. I tear my eyes away from the very stunned Hope and look at the rest of our party. Madi was flipping out, but not a sound was coming out of her mouth, Chandler's jaw was dropped all they way to the ground, and Grace was just staring at her hands, obviously not aware of what was going on. The boys except for Harry were all just wide-eyed. Harry looked like he was about to cry, but this time happy tears.

"I-is it really you?" He asks quietly. "Yeah it's really me." Hope says smiling like a chesire cat.

By now Grace realized what was going on and is getting up off of the seat along with Louis so Harry could get out.

Harry hastily get slides out of the booth and grabs Hope by the face and then kisses her on the lips.

After what seemed like ages they finally pull apart and Madi says, "God! I thought you guys were going to be kissing forever" This caused everyone to laugh. "Way to lighten the mood Madi." I chuckle.

"No problem," She replies a slight smirk playing on her lips.

"God Hope you're alive!" Everyone exclaims and then they run up to Hope and smash her into a giant group hug. "I'm going to die again if you guys don't stop squeezing me." Hope blurts out and we all step away laughing.

"Sorry," We all mumble.

"No probs bobs." She replies causing Madi and Grace to burst out laughing. (Madi if your reading this you should know what I'm talking about. Hint: Billy Bob Joe)

"Can someone clue us in on what's going on?" I ask with an eyebrow raised. I am very confused ok. Still laughing Hope says, "Inside joke." "Come on please tell us." Louis whines. "That kinda ruins the whole concept of an inside joke babe." Grace says patting him on the cheek while he pulls the puppy dog face on her.

"Don't stare into the eyes Grace you'll give in." Zayn yells. "Oh My cuteness overload." Grace mumbles. "Don't give in!" Hope and Madi yell together, "Don't give up the inside joke."

"Look at those eyes though." Grace says then leans over and whispers something in Louis's ear and he smiles. "Um what just happened?" Niall asks obviously as confused as the rest of us (Not including Hope and Madi) were.

"All in good time snow flake all in good time" Grace says patting Niall on the head as if he were a little boy being praised for something he did right. "Huh?" Niall says. "Boy I sure have missed you guys." Hope says with her hands on her hips and a smirk playing on her lips.

"And we missed you!" Chandler yells before we all crash Hope into another group hug.

"Can't breathe" Hope says. "Me neither" We all say and then let her go.

All of a sudden Kaycee claps her hands and says, "Well now that we have all of the girls again. We can do the summer softball program that starts like...." She pauses calculating days in her mind. "Oh snap! Its tomorrow!"

"What are we waiting for then! Get everyone's asses in the van let's go go go!" Chandler yells.

As soon as every ones in the van Harry asks, "Erm what's softball?" All the girl's mouths drop open and they yell, "You've never heard of softball!" The rest of the boys and I shake our heads no. "Ok ok so you have nine players, a pitcher, a catcher, first base, second base, third base, short stop, right field, center field, and a left fielder. You play on what we call a diamond field. The pitcher pitches a ball at a batter and the batter hits it or they could strike out with three strikes. If the ball is hit it is up to the infield or out field to make a play and get them out." All the girls explain.

"It sounds similar to rounders.." Zayn says thoughtfully. "No idea what rounders is, but as long has you get the idea. Because softball is an important part of our lives that you must understand." Chandler says.

"We understand." I say. "But who plays where?" Louis asks looking at Grace in the passenger seat and the other girls in the back.

"Um Kaycee catches, pitches, and plays second, Chandler plays second, Hope plays catcher or third, Madi  plays first or second, and I can play every where but mostly pitcher, catcher, and short stop." Grace says.

"Ohhh well I for one look forward to seeing you guys play." Niall says. "So do I" The rest of the boys and I agree.

"Ok well we got to hurry so we can get there in time tomorrow. It's like 80 miles away." Kaycee says.

"Well drive Louis drive!"
