My face falls. "What?" Will protests behind me. "Sweetie" I start with a shaky breath "what do you mean? Will you tell me what happened?" Phoebe starts to cry again so I wrap her in my arms and try to get her to calm down. I pick her up and move her to the couch and rock her back and forth to calm her down. Eventually she calms down so I ask her again "Pheobe, to get Nico back we have to know what happened. Can you tell us?"
She sniffles and nods her head. "Well, I asked Nico if he would take me to see Mrs.O'Leary while you guys were at dinner. He said okay and we went to the woods because that's where he said she normally is and after a few minutes he stopped and said we needed to go back. I asked why and that was when some man appeared out of no where and Nico told me to run, he seemed upset so I did it. All I heard was the man say was 'did you miss me?' and then Nico was gone." I look to Will and he looks like he's in pain.
"Pheobe, what did this man look like?" Will asks. She sniffles, "he had white wings, black hair and.. and ... funny colored eyes." Will's eyes hardened. "What is it?" I immediately asked. "I know who it is." I gave him a look of shock before turning to the little girl in front of me; "Hey Pheobe, thank you for being strong. Don't worry we'll find him, promise." She nods amd hugs me one last time before Chiron gives her a kind smile and escorts hey back to dinner. "Who is it?" I ask as soon as they are out of earshot. "Cupid."
