Let's hunt for clues

"Okay, Pheobe I'm gonna take you back to your cabin okay? Have you had dinner yet sweetie?" Will asks. She shakes her head no. "Okay sweetie let's go" he takes her by the hand and they go. Chiron turns to me and says "go get Anna Mae, you two and Will are going on a quest." I immediately get up and go get her before we both go to pack. When we return to Chiron, Will is already there with his bag. "Good you're here. Let's go over the plan."
We go and sit down beside Will and listen to Chiron. "Okay, to save Nico you need to go to where you have the best chance of getting clues on his disappearance. Any ideas as to where that might be?" "The Academy" I say immediately. "Where?" Will and Anna ask. "Westover Hall. It was where Grover and Percy found him and Annabeth was captured. He found out he was a demigod there" I say. Will looks hurt that he didn't know that but he quickly recovered and said "okay, well let's start there see where that leads us." He quickly gets up and goes outside to put his stuff in the car. "So what I want to know is, why do I need to go?" Anna asks. "You three know him the best. You can relate to his past in a way that Percy and Annabeth simply can't" Chiron says before going outside to talk to Will.
Anna sighs. "How do I know him the best?" "That's one I don't know but maybe he'll tell us later" I say before we both grab our bags and head out to the car.
When we get out there we are greeted by Jason, Percy, Annabeth and a few of our other friends. Jason wraps us into a hug when he sees us before saying "please be careful". I pull back and say "always am". "Let's go" Will said coolly before getting in the car. I gave Jason and the gang a sympathetic look as we all understood his unfriendly behavior. Anna and I hopped in the car.
"Okay, how far is Westover Hall from here?" Anna asked. "Well, it's about 4 now so we'll be there at about 7ish " I say before entering the coordinates into the demigod friendly GPS the Hephestus cabin had made us. Anna nodded her head and turned on the radio, sensing the awkward silence that had already encompassed the members of the car.

When we parked in the parking lot we looked around and Will asked "is this it?". That's what the GPS said." "Okay then, let's go inside and try to find his file; they should still have it. It may give us some clues on how to find him." Anna said. We nodded along and got out of the car, being sure to double check that we had our weapons on us.
We walked in and went to the front desk and rang the bell. Nothing. We exchanged worried looks and drew out our weapons. I crept behind the counter and into the small room behind the desk to find it full of filing cabinets. "Guys, come look at this." They came back there and looked in shock. "No one is here and the filing cabinets are just sitting here." I walked forward to open one. "And unlocked." "They must have known we were coming" Will said. "Let's hurry up and find the file."
We immediately set to work, Will and I looking for the file and Bailey standing guard. After a few minutes of searching and going through every single file, Will spoke up "nothing". We all sighed. "Camp probably had someone clear out his records, I couldn't find his sister either." I say. "Let's go back to the and talk about this, this place gives me the creeps" Anna said. We all followed her out and were almost to the car when we heard a scream coming from the woods behind the school.
We rushed out there, getting closer to the sound before coming to a cliff. With swords drawn, we looked around, unable to find anything. "Please tell me you guys heard that too" Anna said with a shaky breath, obviously trying hard to not show any fear. "Yeah, we heard it too." "Well whatever it was that made that noise couldn't have gotten too far" Will said as he looked around when all of a sudden we heard a rustling of Leaves and branches above us. We looked up only to track the sound to in front of us as a large shape swoop down I front of us.
"Well hello children, looks like we got a new crowd. Hopefully you guys are better than the last gang, with those hunters and such assisting them." Frozen in slight fear and major shock, the creature that had to be a manticore. "Oh, I'm sorry children I'm being rude; I'm Dr.Thorn. I was Nico and Bianca's old teacher. I believe it was your dear friend Annabeth who I had captured and who held up the sky" he said as he smiled evily.
A chill went down my back ad I recalled the story that Percy and Nico had told us of this man, even if you couldn't technically call him a man. "What do you want Thorn?" Will sneered. "Why simple, I want to help Cupid win, and he can't win if you guys know where he is." "What dies he want? Why did he capture Nico?" Dr.Thorn laughed and said "well he'll tell you that, if you live long enough to find him that is." "Tell us where they are Thorn!" I yelled.
"Make me!" he yelled before lunging to attack. Will quickly but narrowly jumped out of the way but Anna was able to get in a quick slice before jumping away. He rolled off to the side in slight pain but quickly jumped at me. I used my knife and tried to cut at his chest. Will quickly loaded an arrow and shot it at Dr.Thorns head. While he fell to the ground, I jumped on him and Will and Anna flocked to my sides, armed. "Where are they?" I growled. "Cupids favorite spot" he whimpered before I slit his throat. I rolled off of him as he turned to dust and left for Tartarus.
"Well that was helpful" Anna said. "Hey, at least we have a clue" I said, trying to be hopeful. Will nods in agreement. "You're right, at least it's something, it's not much, but it's something." "Okay, since that was easier than it should have been and this place gives me the creeps, so now that we have some sort of clue, I say we check in to some hotel or something because it's almost 9 and we all know that nothing good comes out at night. Let's go" I say before turning back toward the truck. "Agreed" they chorus and follow behind me. "I wonder what he meant by 'Cupids favorite spot'. That could be anywhere" Anna speaks up when we get to the car. "I know, but right now I'm on edge over how easy that was, I miss Nico, I'm stressed and since I'm the only one who can drive, I say we check into a motel and borrow their WiFi and go from there." "You got it chief" Will calls from the back seat.
This is going to be a long quest.
