As I go to grab the music from my cabin Nico decides to join me. "Hey, thanks for beating up Connor for Anna Mae" I say. "No problem, he deserves way worse but Jason dragged me back." I smile and shake my head. "That does sound like something my golden boy brother would do" I say.
As I walk into Cabin 1 I see Jason on his bed with an ice pack over his eye. "Oh my gosh, what happened?" I asked worried. "I tried to stop Nico from kicking Connors butt but I got caught in the action" he says sitting up. "What even happened anyway?" "Connor cheated and got caught so I was teaching him a lesson" Nico said as he appeared in the door frame behind me.
Jason's face darkens in understanding. "I wish you would have told me when it was happening, I would have let you beat him." Nico nods his head in agreement. "So, what are you guys doing here anyway?" Jason asks. "Emergency dance party " I say. "Ah" he says in understanding. I nod as I grab the cd player and some Panic! At the Disco and Fall Out Boy cds and say "see ya later" and leave the two boys so I can go cheer up my best friend.
As I walk up the steps to her cabin I hear voices from the inside, one furious and one pleading. "Anna Mae I said I was sorry. What is it going to take for you to forgive me?" a voice that sounds like Connor says. I rush in and find Connor and Anna fighting. "Get out Connor, now!" I say and start to drag him out when Anna Mae says in a scary calm voice "Connor, get out. I don't love you, nor will I ever love a cheater. I gave you everything and yoh do this. I'm done. Goodbye Connor." Connor looks like a kicked puppy as he stands there for a minute and then walks out.
As soon as the door closes she breaks down in tears. I rush by her side and rock her back and forth in my arms as my best friend cries on my shoulder. After about five solid minutes of her crying, she calms down enough to speak. "Did I do the right think Wil?" "Yeah Animae, I think you did." I say and she nods. "Okay then, let's dance." She gets up and plugs up the cd player. We start the music m and dance like we don't care, and we don't. After a few minutes we hear a knock on the cabin door. I pause the music to get it and Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Will, and Nico are standing there. They all rush in and hug Anna Mae. I just stand by the door and watch the hug and before I realize it, I get this weird sense of deja vu. 'So this was what it must have looked like when Nico and I broke up.' I shake the thoughts away remind myself 'this isn't about you, it's about Annie'. By the time I finish chiding myself the hug is just ending and all I can hear is "I'm sorry" coming out in multitudes. "It's okay, I'll make it. It's just some guy" she says. "Yeah some guy who cheated" Piper says. "Don't worry he paid for it" Nico says. They start to ask her about it when I speak up. "Okay y'all, we need to get her over this so, I say we continue the emergency dance party." Laugher erupts from the group and before we know it, the music is back on and we all dance.

~some time later~

We danced until the dinner bell rang. "Y'all go ahead, I got to put this up first" I say. They nod okay and I leave to put up the music. As I'm in my cabin and I'm putting up the music I hear "Was it that serious when we broke up?" I shake my head and say "I don't know, Anna Mae is a lot stronger than me." I turn around and face Nico. "You know I still love you right? And that I'm still sorry? I just can't love you like that" he says. "I know" I say with a small smile "and I still love you too, we just weren't meant to love each other like that." He smiles. A brief moment of reminiscence passes between us before he offers to wall to dinner for old times sake.
When we walk into the mess hall we see our group and go to join them. They seem to be in the middle of a story. "'- and so then, Valentine's army is about to attack the city and Jace still isn't there and so everyone-" Annabeth looks up mid-sentince and says "oh hey guys" and then goes back to telling the group what just happenes in the book she's reading. I just shake my head smiling and sit down and listen to her, even though I'm the one who made her read the book. We spend the rest of dinner just being 'normal' teens and talking. About thirty minutes into dinner Chiron comes running into the mess hall and everyone gets quiet immediately. "I need Willow and Will to follow me" he says, then leaves. Will and I look at each other and we get up to go. We ignore the curious looks and whispers from the rest of camp and follow Chiron to the big house. "Chiron, what's wrong? " Will asks. "There seems to be a situation and this little girl says she will only soak to y'all about it" he says as he motions to a little girl, about 6 years old, that we didn't notice before. "This is Pheobe, daughter of Demeter." "Hi sweetie" I say. I notice she's been crying and say "what's wrong? " She starts to cry again and I wrap her into a hug and immediately stay to calm her down as my heart breaks for this poor girl. "I... I'm..... sorry" she says in between sobs. I look up at Chiron in shock and say to the girl "it's okay sweetie, just tell us what happened, we won't be mad. " "Promise?" Phoebe sniffles. "Promise.' I say. She calms down a little and says "Nico's gone. "
