Prologue

"Mommy! Look mommy! Look!

'I see you sweetheart. But be careful, you know that you're not supposed to be jumping over big rocks,'

'Yes I know mommy but it's just so much fun. There isn't anything to do. This house is sooo bor-ring'

'Sweetheart you already know that it was a blessing to be able to live in such an extravagant house like this. With all the expenses, we were lucky to have your father's company lend us this house.'

'I know mommy, but it's just... no fun'

'Amelia I know it can get quite boring living in the country side but soon you'll learn to love it. Your father was born and raised on a farm and I learned to love his passion for the lands.'

'Mommy?'

'Yes, Amelia'

'Do you really love it here?'

'Yes sweetheart I do. Why are you asking'

'Oh just wondering. You must really love daddy.'

'Mommy, can I ask you another question?'

'This isn't working out Jessica. All this constant fighting and you breathing down my neck every chance you get— your suffocating me Jessica. I can't do this anymore!'

'David don't you dare try to turn the tables on me! You darn well know that's not the only reason for all this, Is it!? It's HER! I saw you with my own eyes David!'

'Jessica don't start that crap with me! It was your insecurities that drove me to this.'

'Ohh so your blaming ME now for YOUR mistakes! Oh this is rich. Next your going to blame me for global warming!'

'JESSICA THAT'S ENOUGH!'

'If that's what you want then fine! I want a divorce!'

' Jessica stop being irrational for a second and think about Amelia.'

'I have thought of Amelia. For that reason alone is why I'm asking for a divorce. I will not be that ignorant wife who ignores her husband's infidelity while everyone else knows. I will not be pitied from afar. If you think that'll be that kind of woman, your wrong. Don't think for a second that I'll succumb at your feet. I am doing this for me and for Amelia. I don't want my little girl to see me in a state of depression all the time. There's just so much I can handle and this is not one of them.'

'No David. There is no way around this. I want a divorce.'

' fine if that's what you want then very well, but just know that I want full custody of Amelia'

'We'll see about that. You think I'll let Amelia go so easily? You take me for a fool if you think I will simply leave my daughter to be raised by her unfaithful father!'

'Jessica we're not going to argue about this, We'll settle this in court and the courts will see who is deemed a better parent.'

'Very well David but just know that I will do whatever it takes to have my baby with me'

'As will I Jessica. Don't ever doubt my love for my daughter'
