Before The Storm

I stared at Daniel as he walked down the hall and out the medical building. Daniel had always been protective of me but he never liked to follow orders, and let's just say bad things happen when Dr. Flich finds out you disobey your orders. I did not want to end up like the children who were secretly pulled out of their beds at night.

I started to walk down the hall as I thought about what I could do until lunch. I usually hung out with Daniel but I didn't want to, considering the sour mood he put me in. I would probably just walk around and meet a new person.
I started to walk to the building where all the children stayed, i'm sure I could meet someone there. I walked around giving smiles and glances to people. I saw a girl in the corner of the room looking as bored as me. "Hi" I said making my way to her. She smiled and said a shy hi before combing her black hair behind her ear with her hand. She looked really nervous, she probably didn't have many friends. "I'm Kacey and you are" I said shaking her hand. "Skye" she said most of her shyness going away. "Well Skye want to walk to lunch with me I am so bored" I said laughing. She smiled a bit before nodding.

We walked and talked all the way to the lunch room, I told her about Daniel and Seiyah and the weird things going on here. She told me about her breakup with her boyfriend Ethan. We ended up at the lunch doors. We walked in and grabbed our plates before pressing a button on the machine, some fries and a hot dog came out,we got a water from a mini fridge near by. "I sit over there" I said pointing to the table where I saw Seiyah and Daniel.
"You sit with them" she pointed to them. "No, I sit with him." I said glaring at the table. I was so mad right now Daniel didn't even check if I was okay but of course he went to check on her. I slightly smiled at Skye," Where do you sit".I wasn't planning on sitting with that She-Devil. Skye told me she usually sat at the table that was right next to Daniel and Seiyah. Oh great..... I thought and followed her toward the table. Daniel looked at me but I quickly turned to Skye who had said something. "What," I asked. "I said are you not talking to them". She could obviously sense the bad mood I was in. "I don't know I'm just not feeling good today", I half smiled. We sat down at the tables and ate our food I listened in on their conversation. "What is wrong with her" I heard Seiyah say. "I have no idea, I want to apologize for how rude she has been". My face grew angry. "I'd rather her apologize, I try my hardest to be nice to her but she just doesn't like me". I heard Daniel sigh, "Don't worry she has to learn that I'm going to have other friends". I had enough at that moment, I turned around to say something until the bell rung to got to the fields. I got up and grabbed Skye's hand before we went past Daniel's table and out the door door.
