Hello Sadie Kane here. Okay Carter says I should just cut to the chase. I was in my bath room staring at the fresh purple streaks in my wet hair. I thought about the models in fashion magazines. I reached into the duat and pulled out some mascara and eyeliner. I applied just a little mascara and carefully traced my eye. When I was done I found that my blue eyes really popped. I sat down on my bed because I still had a few hours before we had to leave for school. The thought just slipped my mind: anubis. I popped in my earphones and turned on my sad songs. I felt my eyes tear up just thinking about how anubis provided me with my first kiss (on the lips).I felt mascara smearing a little. So i went to go wipe it off.
When I returned Anubis was standing there, with his sad but intense eyes and his tussled but cute black hair. "Sadie,we need to talk."
"At 5:00 in the morning?" I said dazed but still happy he was here.
"It's important."
"Like that clears everything up."
"Good to see you to," he muttered.
I strode right up to him to show him that I wasn't afraid to argue even at 5:00 in the morning. "What do you want?"
He backed me up into the wall and put his arms on either side of me. I stared into those sad sad eyes. I saw how many sad years in the duat he's been through. I just wanted to release him of his sadness. "It's been one bloody year since you have even talked to me."
"Sadie, you must listen you may not come back to Brooklyn house today and Carter won't be there to help, he will have his own problems."
"Anubis I-."
Then he did something I never expected (again),he kissed me.
"Good-bye Sadie."
"Anubis."but he was already gone.
Anubis was indeed right. At the end of the day two burly men grasped me, opened a portal and I ended up in Egypt. Classic day for Sadie Kane. The men lead me to an entrance to the first Nome. We were in the hall of ages when the men pushed me to the marble floor. I cursed and summund my staff and wand while the two men were laughing.
I drew a protective circle and activated the hieroglyphs.
"Ha-wi!":strike. Both of the men fell back into the purple curtains. The age of the gods. They both starting melting as the images melted their minds.
I fled out of the hall of ages then into the commons I kept running while the initiates stared at a fleeing Sadie Kane with a glowing staff and wand. I burst out into the Egyptian desert. I almost imeaditly bumped into someone. Carter.
"Carter?!"
"Sadie?!"
"Carter-"
My vision became fuzzy then I blacked out into Carter's arms.
I woke up in the bloody hall of ages. Some of the initiates were talking to Carter about how they saw me running from the hall of ages. Carter looked at me with concern and said,"Sadie tell me."
I told him the story and he nodded he told me how pretty much the same thing happened to him but he was over by the sphinx instead." I had a feeling you would be here and you were in trouble." He stated.
My bloody brother was coming to help me but I so drained of energy when I bumped into him I just collapsed. And the healers were trying to heal me.
I summoned a portal and we were on our way to Brooklyn house.
When we got there Amos hugged us bloody tight as we both spat the sand out of our mouth from the portal.
I raced up to my room hoping Anubis would be there but he wasn't. There was a grunt at the door,hearing my baboon friend lifted my spirits just a little. I got up and opened the door for him, he ran up to his bed and grabbed a mango then ran out I giggled half heartily." That's not the Sadie I know."
I turned around and there was Anubis just standing there causally." Good job Sadie you came back alive and in one piece, say I'm quite impressed."
"It was to easy. It's like they wanted me to kill them."
I remembered what the men looked like disintegrating. A tear trickled from my eye. Anubis had the nerve toto come and grasp me in his arms but I didn't push him away. He smelled of ancient scents. He kissed my forehead and whispered in my ear,"I love you ,Saide Kane."
"Love you too, Anubis."
"I must go." He said.
"Wait-" but he was already gone,but I know he loves me.
