I woke up the next morning with a head ache from the head dress that we have to wear when we sleep. I sat up and groaned. "Sadie! Get your butt out of bed!" Carter yelled through the door. " I'm up! " I yelled back. Footsteps echoed through the halls as Carter walked away.
I flopped down on my bed sighing. I missed him. Anubis. The god I wasn't supposed to be near. My stomach growled, interrupting the peaceful silence. I got out of my comfy bed, got dress and made my way down to the tarries were breakfast was being held. Khufu met me half way down the stairs. He grunted and stuffed his hand in his Cherio's box. I slightly smiled as he offered me one. " That's okay Khufu." I said.
He Grunted again as if saying 'suit your self'. I walked out to the table out side and was met with Carter saying, "Took you long enough. "

I finished my plate of breakfast and went outside. My Boot's zipper jingled as I walked along the cobblestone path of the garden. I picked a rose and inhaled the sent.

I plopped down on a bench and pulled my knees to my chest and began thinking. Why did he just leave me like that? I mean, I know he loves me but he kind of broke my heart a little bit.
