The Fight

Amy looked back at Knuckles.

"Who?" She asked.

Knuckles didn't say anything.

"Knuckles? Who is it?"

Knuckle's breathing started to pick up.

"EXE." He replied.

Amy gasped. (Is it weird I'm listening to my own music while writing this?)

Cream had a cunfused look.

"Who's EXE?" She asked, innocently.

Espio looked at Knuckles.

"Yeah," he began. "who?"

Knuckles hesitated.

"No one!" He barked.

"Amy! Come outside for a sec."

Amy loyally followed Knuckles outside.

"Knux," she said, whispering. "please don't tell me... HE is back!"

Knuckles slowly shook his head.

"I'm afraid so, 12 deaths near the new hospital and witnesses say it was a... Something that looked like Sonic but was crying BLOOD. And I haven't heard from Sonic in about three days." He said.

A cry left Amy's mouth. How could he be back?

"Neither have I." She said, teary eyed.

"TAILS!" She shouted.

"WE HAVE TO FIND HIM!" And with that, she began running, and Knuckles soon followed.

MEANWHILE AT UNKNOWN

Tails checked his surroundings. It was nice being on solid ground again instead of metal plates drilled into other pieces of metal. Tails shook.

"You know," Shadow said. "out of all of Faker's group, you'd probably be the one I hated the least."

"BUT DON'T LET THAT GO TO YOUR HEAD!"

Tails chuckled. Why was SHADOW being NICE?

Tails looked off in the distance, sing blue blurs running down hills and slopes.

"Shadow.... He's coming." Tails said.

And sure enough, EXE was standing in front of them. He didn't say anything, he just stared into their soul. Soon Shadow couldn't take it anymore.

"For years I've been keeping you under control, Faker." Shadow said.

"But I like the new look." Shadow said.

There was still silence.

"I mean, it makes you look less a TODDLERS PLAY TOY." Shadow teased.

Tails pulled on Shadows arm.

"Shadow!" Tails whispered. "STOP."

Shadow chuckled and forcefully pulled his arm away from Tail's grasp.

"So..." Shadow began. "We gunna fight or what?"

Shadow through a puch, but it got caught by EXE.

"Heh." EXE snickered.

"Nice try." He said, throwing Shadow across the ground, nearly 40 feet away. Tails looked in horror. He really HAD gotten stronger.

Tails turned back around. EXE was looking at HIM now.

"Your next." EXE whispered.

"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Tails yelled.

Exe threw a GIANT punch, but Tails doged, as well as his 20 other punches.

Exe laughed.

"That's a nice Chaos Emerald ya got there." He said, eyeballing the Chaos Emerald Shadow had dropped when he got punched.

"Let me HAVE IT!" Exe yelled, jumping after it, but Tails made a blue Chaos Shield, blocking him from it. Tails grabbed onto Shadow and the Chaos Emerald.

"Chaos....... CONTROL!!!" Tails yelled.

He'd never actually used Chaos Control before, but it was fun.

Tails could see Exe smiling and waving Tails goodbye. Tails flipped him off as he disappeared back to the.... Old hospital?
