"So, how did the gamenight go last night?" Tara asked while taking a sip of her hot cocoa. She had dragged me into town, but of course she wanted to know all about last night first.
"It was great... until Trevor started guilt tripping me. He wanted to know what was going on..." A sad thought crossed my mind.
"What exactly did you tell him?" Her voice was laced with worry.
"Everything, lying would have made it even messier." I didn't want to hurt him, yet I think that is what I did.
"Okay, but how did he react?" She touched my forearm to comfort me because tears started to form in the corner of my eye.
"Not so well, actually. He wasn't mad for keeping something so big from him, he didn't yell, he didn't cuss, he was disappointed. I could see it in his eyes, he felt betrayed and left out. He asked if you knew. I said you did but that I made you swear not to tell, I'm not dragging you with me, into all of this." The first tear escaped.
"Oh, honey, don't cry. Everything is going to be all right. You two have been besties ever since. Something silly like a new crush and a way to get him won't be enough to scare him away for long. The only wrong you did him was not telling him. Then again, you don't owe him all of your secrets, but it does break the trust bond a bit if you keep things from him without a reason to. He didn't ask why, did he?" She held my hand.
"He did and when I didn't answer, he just left..."
"Without saying something?"
"No, he said; 'Wow, unbelievable. I thought we didn't keep secrets, but now you can't even justify why? Just great Bree, just great.' Before slamming the door." Tears were now running down my cheeks freely.
"Oh dear, everything will be all right. Just give him some time to process, he is as bad at staying angry as he is at staying hungry." She giggled in an attempt to cheer me up. "I'll give you a wardrobe-makeover, we'll forget about Trevs for the day, have fun and tonight we'll come up with the perfect apology." She cooed.
"Okay, but I want to finish my hot cocoa first." I wiped away the last tears on my face.

She had been dragging me to every store and boutique she knew - that means a lot- and handing me piles of clothes while pushing me to the fitting rooms. She sure knows how to keep a girl occupied. We finally left the last store on her list when someone called out her name.
"Is that you?" He asked.
"Hey, Ethan. What are you doing here?" She asked surprised, "This is Bree by the way."
"Hello, Tara has told me all about you." He chuckled.
"So this is the stranger who stole you away from me, last Wednesday?" I smiled.
"I had no idea." He feigned a shocked expression. "But hey, wasn't it beneficial for both parties?" He smirked provocative.
I was dumbfounded by his statement.
"W-What do you mean?" I stammered.
"Well, I got to meet this lovely lady, whom you left there, alone. And you got to know my sister and her friends. Alice told me all about a fun new girl, Lydia introduced. And for as far as I've heard, not many people hate to be accepted by their little posse." He finished it off with a wink.
