Chapter 1

Waking up by my neighbors' noise in the street, I moved from my bed to the bathroom.
I took a shower then wore a black t-shirt with a v-neck line and black Jeans.

I needed to buy some food and stuff so I left the house and began going to the market.

"Aren't you afraid you little girl? Your mother isn't with you, someone might kidnap you" one of my annoying neighbors said in a mocking tone.

They never stopped annoying me. Ugh why did I choose to leave the house!

I tried ignoring him then went to the market.

I bought some food and things I need for the week then went back directly to the home.

After I arrived, I arranged the things I bought in their places then I heared a knock on the door.

"Who's there?" I asked.
"It's Isabelle" said the voice.
"Coming" I said.

I opened the door and it was Isabelle, my cousin.
"Hey Charlotte" she smiled.
"Hey" I said.
"I came to sit with you" she said.
"You can come at anytime since nobody's home except me" I said.
"Why? Where is your sister?" She looked bewildered.
"She bought a new home and lived there with her boyfriend" I sighed.
"She left you alone?! Since when did she do that?" She asked.
"Since my mother died and of course she left me alone what do you think" I said.

Isabelle patted on my shoulder to comfort me.

"Did you hear about the new family who will live beside your house from tomorrow?" She said after a long silence.
"Not surprised, not ready for a new bully or mock from somebody else" I sighed.
"Don't say that Charlotte, you are a good girl believe me" she said.
"If I was a good girl, none of those jerks would insult me but guess what I am such a weak girl as they say" I tried to resist my tears.
"Don't cry, come here" she seemed to notice my eyes, she gave me her arms for a hug.

I hugged her for what is like five minutes.

"Wanna play some video games with me?" She asked after we pulled out from the hug.
"Sure" I said.

She took me to her home. Her home was infront of mine so we walked until we arrived there.

We played some video games then watched a movie
Isabelle brought a funny movie to lighten the mood.

We kept laughing with each other, it was really funny movie and we enjoyed our time together.

"So tell me, when will you begin your second year in the college" she asked.

I wished she didn't ask that question but she did. I decided to tell her the truth.

"I won't go, I don't have enough money for the college" I sighed.
The only reason why I wasn't that sad is that I won't face people, I won't see them and I won't interact with them of course except my neighbors.

"Oh sorry for that" she frowned.
"No need to be" I said.

We had dinner together then heared some songs until my eyes went heavy.

"I think I will go now, I feel so sleepy" I said.
"Ok goodnight then, come stay with me tomorrow if you felt bored" she said.

We shared goodnights then I went back to the home.

"Ooooh no way, Charlotte sleeps late! Don't you have college tomorrow to go? I didn't expect that from you" zoe, one of my neighbors said that in a mocking way.
She is the most vain girl in this street, she likes insulting and mocking me most of the time.

I glared at her then decided to ignore her, even if I tried to fight, there is no way to stop those creatures from insulting me...

I entered my home, it was warm than outside.

I changed my clothes into my pajamas then went to sleep.

Let's see the new mock I will get from my new neighbor...

After thinking for long time, I slept.

I woke up not wanting to move from the bed.
I don't have something to do today, no going to the college, no studying, no hanging out with friends, no going to shop, nothing at all.... I hate this boring life.

I decided to return back to my sleep but I couldn't. A noise came from the house beside mine. Can't I have a peaceful sleep for once?!

I went to look at the window to see from where the noise.

I saw a family entering the house beside mine, they were moving their things from the car to the house.

Can't they do that in silence!

I looked at their faces, they looked really nice... No, there is no human is nice, all of them are beasts. Of course they will be like the others, pushing there noses inside what doesn't refer to them...

The street was empty, everybody was in the college so I decided to take an advantage of that, I wore a white t-shirt and a sweatpant then left the house.

There was no such a human in the street, it was the first time to feel really comfortable standing alone in that place.

I decided to go shopping. I went to some random shops and bought some shirts and dresses.
"thank you for coming" the woman smiled at me after I gave her the money, I didn't want to return the smile but something told me that she meant the smile so I returned her smile.

I brought many things I need then went back to the home.
It was still 10:00 am so I decided to have a walk around the lake near from my home.

It was really a nice place, I was enjoying there when I was with my mother before. She was taking me every weekend there.

The place had many trees and flowers, the sound of birds was around and the lake was making a nice view.

I arrives to the place. It was the same, no changes.

I sat infront of the lake and began remembering the memories I had with my mother here...
