Life and death

The two can at first be seen as opposites but in actual fact they mold into one and only continuous cycle.

Take a look at the floating lights that are lit and set off into the distance. When they are first cast off, the light shines bright and it floats higher and higher into the sky, as if it were never going to stop. But after having risen about a hundred meters into the sky, the candle light begins to fade into nothingness.

At first, the people who originally cast off the balloon watch intently as their creation floats higher and higher into the sky. After a short while though, the people stop paying attention to the beautiful balloon that's beginning to fade away, slowly, starting to fall back down to earth, to reality, where it lands as a piece of trash on the ground with no one to pick it up.

Now replace the balloon with every person on this earth, a person with value that fades as society watches the inavibility of the change but not trying to stop it, until finally the person dies, no one noticing and no one caring
