What is Grace? I think it's different in everyone's eyes. Some walk through life believing they are to far from it, while others think that they are two high to accept it. Those are only two kinds of people though. Then there is you. How do you feel about Grace? Do you believe in it?
For me when I think about Grace only one word comes to mind- unconditional. Grace is unconditional, and if we stop and think about it so is love. The reason so is because Grace is given out of love. Now I know you may think 'yeah that's great, but you don't know how bad my family is messed up, or all the things I've done'
Your right, I don't know where you are in life, the choices your making. I do know one thing though, you aren't the only one going through it. If you ever get a chance, look up the story of Ashley Smith. Her story is one that GRACE is so evident in. Even after everything she went through, everything that happened to her she found the Grace of God she so desperately needed and wanted. I encourage you if you ever read her story to talk to me about it!
Now, no matter what your opinion on Grace, I want to share a feeling that everyone has.
The feeling of wanting Grace. I believe that no one goes through life never wanting it. You can't find one person that has never had a hint of the want of acceptance and forgiveness. I'm here to tell you that no matter who you are what you've done, there is an everlasting heavenly Father that has his arms open wide for you. No matter your sin, your shame he wants it all because he wants you to find him so he can hold you close and tell you it all doesn't matter. He died to save you, he forgave your sins. Even in the roughest of moments he is there, he never gives us battles that we aren't already equip to fight. I think about everything happening in the world with Paris, and even through this tragedy what do you see all around the world? You see Prayer, and Hope and you see people showing Grace and love to everyone. Tragedy no matter how bad it is tends to bring the world together.
Now, I know that some tragedy in your life you may look at God and hate him, because you think he made it happen. That he doesn't love you, but stop thinking like that! God created the world in the beginning without sin, we (humans) created Sin. God didn't. Bad things happen to good people all the time, and people say that there a good person and they do all the Godly steps right so they don't deserve the tragedy. Or they deserve heaven. Good people go to hell all the time. It's not about how many acts you do, or how many prayers you say. It's about looking at Christ and giving him your all, having a personal relationship with Him. It's also about not looking down on people because of there past, that isn't showing Grace, that's judging, and there is only one person who can judge, and that is Jesus Christ.
So bring your good and your bad to him and give him your all, it isn't going to take away the pain, it isn't going to make life easier, but you have eternity in heaven, a place with no pain and a lifetime with a Heavenly Father who loves you enough to die for you. And even through all the pain he walks with you never leaving you because you are a child of his. He is always giving out Grace, he doesn't have standards you need to meet, he just wants you as you are. We aren't perfect, never will be, but we can get to know someone who is.
Verse of the day is Psalms 23
