Being happy is so worth it.

"Go to hell!"

I'm sitting on my bed reading when I hear a voice that doesn't belong to Brendon yell out, and a door slam.

I jump at the sudden noise, closing my book and getting out of bed. I quietly ease my bedroom door open, and peek outside.

Nothing.

Brendon's door is closed. I tiptoe over to it and wiggle the doorknob, making sure to not be heard.

Locked.

"Brendon?"

"I'm okay, Elliot. Just need to be alone."

I proceed downstairs.

At the kitchen counter stands none other than Ryan Ross.

I should've known.

"Oh, hey Elliot." He waves slightly.

"Hi Ryan." I glare at him.

"How've you been?"

"I'm just wondering why my best friend his hiding in his room."

"His own fault," Ryan shrugs, "this band isn't going the way I want it to."

I clench my fists. I never liked Ryan.

I hear feet coming down the stairs and soon enough, Brendon is in the room too.

"Ellie, please leave the room. I don't want you to see this." Brendon says to me.

I nod, and walk back towards the stairs. Before I go up, Brendon grabs my arm and pulls me in to kiss the top of my head. I gasp and then keep walking.

I look down the stairs before I can't see them anymore. Brendon is blushing and Ryan is smirking with his arms crossed.

Bastard.
