20|THE INNOCENT AGAINST THE EVIL

"Wakey wakey, Erik." A raspy scratching voice was heard, "Don't make me wake you."

Waking up in a dream was unpleasant for Erik. He never woke up in his bedroom in the Mikealson Mansion, or woke up in the middle forrest where Void came out. But instead it was the same dream where he was forced to talk to himself, talk about not being insane right? Erik sighs, and looked at his surrounding. It was different this time, it was inside the Mystic Falls Hospital.

"How weird," Erik muttered to himself, "you, Void, always surprise me." Erik was standing just in the middle of the hallway, it was empty the hospital, "That's good to hear." Erik froze at the raspy voice that he recognised. Erik turned on his heels and at the end of the hallways he saw a man wearing a bomber jacket with it's face wrapped up in bandage but it was still able to talk. Erik wanted to hold his breath and hoped that it was some other dream.

"Void." Erik lets out a fragile voice looking at Void's hands, which was also bandaged up. "What are you doing here?" Void smiled showing it's shiny sharp metallic teeth, Erik swallowed fear down his throat before having a foot behind him, just in case to run. "Would you really run? Run from yourself?"

Erik narrowed his eyes, "I'm not you. I am just a human boy born into the most powerful family alive, you...you're just a vile creature!" Void smiled once more taking a step closer, "We, we're just a vile creature, admit it Erik, we are one."

"This isn't me." Erik spoke louder with confidence slowly growing, "It is now." Erik looked at Void as Void stepped closer to Erik. "You're fond of riddles, of course you are, I have known you for 1000 years old." Void lets out a rippling laughter, "What gets bigger the more you take away?"

"Easy, a hole." Erik shrugged, watched every move the Nogitsune does, "What gets wetter the more it dries?" Erik raised an eyebrow, "A towel." The Nogitsune was in front of Erik, breathing heavy air on the smaller boy.

The Nogitsune was taller than the boy, Erik was a good height, at like 5"10, give or take which is the same height as Elijah and Klaus with Kol being the tallest, but the Nogitsune was a strong 6"2. It basically looked down at Erik with displeasure, which made Erik's blood ripple in disgust and his skin cold in fear. Erik shouldn't be afraid of the height, Kol was 6 feet.

"Everyone has it yet no one can lose it, what is it?" Erik looked at it's threatening teeth and looked where it's eyes should be before answering with an obnoxious tone, "An obnoxious conscience? An evil fox that inflicts pain to people and the body they are inside of?"

Void loved Erik sarcastic respond as he saw Erik shiver when it laughed. "Everyone has it yet no one can lose it, what is it?" Erik stepped back and looked at his right to run, "I don't want to play anymore." Void leans and repeated the riddle but this time with venom and annoyance, "A shadow." Erik's voice shivered. "I am no shadow, Erik, I am you. We are one."

Erik glared at Void, he didn't like that answer. The Nogitsune was not him and he was certainly not the Nogitsune. They were definitely not one, they had strong differences, such as the fact one loves violence and the other hated violence. Another difference was that Void was a ruthless monster and Erik was an adorable teenager. They had differences, loads of them so Erik disagreed to the answer because they hell sure weren't one.

Erik ran when he saw Void starting to unwrap the bandage, he heard the laughter ringing down the hall as Erik continues to run.
