I have been walking around the town, visiting the bar/restaurant The Mystic Grill, and I actually made some friends. A, loud outgoing blonde girl named Caroline Forbes, her mother is the sheriff of the town, and a young teen boy by the name of Jeremy Gilbert. I have met some others but I haven't connected as well with them, though they all are nice. Caroline is someone who I want as a best friend, and Jeremy reminds me of myself as a 14 year old, friendly, a little on the shy side, but has a lot of friends, and likes to draw, though I haven't had much of a chance to really talk to him. I was at the grill when I met Caroline and she told me I should come to the bonfire they have at the end of every school year.
Here I am. At the end of the year bonfire. With people that go to the school I'm not enrolled in yet. I just kind of stood there awkwardly till Caroline found me.
"Amy, you made it!" She exclaimed happily, and hugged me. I smiled and returned the hug. She was a very nice girl, but it was very easy to sense she hid her insecurities well.
"Yeah, of course I did! Who doesn't love a party with people you have never seen in your entire life." I awkwardly smiled and gestured around me with the red cup that was in my hands. She laughed, and flashed her smile at me.
"Very funny. I want you to meet one of my very dearest friends," She lightly pulled my arm and walked to a girl who was short compared to my 5' 6" height. She had dark skin and reminded me a lot of Kathrine's little witch, Emily. "Bonnie Bennett." What do you know. A Bennett descendant.
"Hi, as Care said, I'm Bonnie." She smiled and stuck out her hand for me to shake. I took it and smiled as well.
"Amy Gorden. You said Bennett right?" I asked both of them. Bonnie nodded and looked confused. "I heard that Bennett's were very powerful witches back in the day, and came by way of Salem, or something right?" I asked even though I already knew the answer. Bonnie looked really shocked by my knowledge and nodded a little.
"Uh..." She said confused, creating a little awkward silence between us.
"Sorry, I have a little bit of an obsession with supernatural studies." I apologize offering a small smile. I didn't want to freak her out with my extensive knowledge of her family history.
"Okay well, you two chat, and I'm," She held up her red cup similar to mine. "going to get another drink." She smiled and walked away.
"So are you new in town? I haven't seen you at school." She asked as we started slowly walking, no place in particular.
"Yeah just moved here a few weeks ago, haven't really been out much." I shrugged messing with my daylight ring.
"Pretty ring." She pointed at my ring, trying to get a better look. I held out my hand in front of both of us and smiled.
"Thanks it was a gift, from one of my best friends before I moved." I selectively told the truth. "It's made from a stone called Lapiz Lazuli." I informed her. She smiled and then her phone started to ring. I glanced at her phone and saw the name 'Elena Gilbert', with a picture of a more modern version of Kathrine. My jaw clenched and I balled up my free hand into a fist.
"Hey I gotta take this." She told me looking down at the phone about to answer.
"No, it's fine I have to leave anyway, nice meeting you." I told her with a forced smile. I walked away and heard 'likewise' from Bonnie. What was Kathrine up to? Why was she even here? I hadn't heard of any dead bodies recently. I did a little search and found this so called 'Elena' talking on the phone."I'll call you later Bon." Her voice even sounded like Kathrine. I was about to walk up to her but a familiar, black hair and blue eyed boy got there first.
"Kathrine?" He asked, looking at this girl who had an uncanny resemblance to Kathrine.
"Um, no, I... I'm Elena." So she claims, but I still have doubts. Although I doubt Kathrine would ever think of coming back here. I listened to their conversation and after it ended, Damon compelled Elena to forget. She can be compelled, therefore, not Kathrine. A car came and picked up Elena, and drove off. I decided following her car wouldn't be creepy or stalker ish at all. Perfectly normal to follow a, what I think to be, doppleganger's car home. With my terrible direction skills and bad luck, I lost the car. This is why I should never be one to track anything. Especially something as simple as a freaking car. I heard screams and ran as fast as I could go and found a bridge, and a car that was sinking and I could hear Elena.
"Dad? Dad!?" I heard her yell. I started panicking, she couldn't die. At least yet, she is still young, I wanted to so badly jump into the water to help, but someone jumped in before I did. It broke me out of my trance and I took off my jacket, shoes and scarf, then dived into the water to try and help whoever jumped in.I swam and swam till I reached the car at the bottom of the river. I assumed I reached the car before the other person because they were no where to be found. I looked into the back window to see Elena holding her father's hand, before she shut her eyes and now the seat belt was the only thing keeping her from floating to the roof of the car. Without caring, I broke off the door to the car and swam in, reaching for Elena. The man in the front was still trying to break open his window, when I tore off Elena's belt. Another figure came swimming down and looked into the front, but all he did was point to the back where I was trying to get Elena without losing my air. Even though I can't permanently die via drowning, I can die and come back with no air and die again. I pulled Elena out of the car and glanced at the other person, whose face I recognized immediately to be Stefan Salvatore. I hid my face with my hair and handed Elena to him and he swam off. I, however, stayed and tried to help her parents. The man gave me one last look and mouthed a 'thank you' before closing his eyes. I swam into the front area and tried to get him to wake, but it wasn't any use. And the woman next to him, was dead before the car was even sinking. There wasn't anything I could do for them. I found it to be hard to breathe so I swam to the surface and gasped for air. I trudged out of the water and found Elena on the bank lying on her back. I ran to her and put my ear to her chest. Her heart was struggling to pump, so I did the best that I could of CPR and she began choking up water. I let out a sigh of relief, and sat back knowing she was alive. Trouble wasn't over yet, because she started to freak out and couldn't exactly breath right, all things considered.
"Hey, hey, hey. Elena. Shh, you are okay. You're going to be fine. Sleep.'' I calmed her then compelled her to sleep. Paramedics would be here soon, but I didn't want to leave her until I knew she was going to be 100% fine. When the ambulance finally arrived I carried Elena to the road, where medics took her from my arms and onto a gurney, then I grabbed my other items of clothing. I was questioned about everything Elena related. Who are you? Do you know her? Did you save her? Were her parents in there? Etc, etc. They fished out Elena's parents and I rode in the ambulance with Elena to the hospital. Honestly this was probably one of the worst parties I've been to. I could imagine what Elena is going to feel when she finds out her parents are no longer part of the living. Once we got to the hospital I was asked even more questions, but I answered them regardless. Elena was entered into her own room, and family was contacted. I saw Jeremy and a woman with auburn hair, both with tears in their eyes. I made eye contact with Jeremy and I could see the thankfulness in his eyes, but I broke it and left without another word. My hair and clothes were still damp but I didn't care, I walked for 30 minutes before I arrived at the place I loved to watch. The Salvatore Boarding house.
