The Party

I hooked in my earrings which were the finishing touches on my outfit for the party tonight. My heels clicked against my wooden floor, as I walked out of my bathroom. I walked to my jewelry box, that was overflowing with pieces I collected over the past 500 years, and took off my daylight ring, placing it carefully inside. It was night time so I didn't have a purpose for it, and if I'm going to get drunk, who knows what I might accidentally do to it. I took once last glance around my living, just to make sure I didn't forget anything, and turned out the lights, walking to my front door. Just as I reached out to turn the handle, the doorbell rang. I retreated my hand back, in surprise. No one has ever visited me since I moved in, although it could be one of the girls. I opened the door and swung it open to reveal Stefan.
"Stefan?" I smiled and stepped out to give him a hug. "Come in." I invited and he stepped through the threshold of the door frame. "What are you doing here?" I asked noticing it was a little chilly out, and walked over to the coat closet I had.
"I came by to 'escort' you to the party." He shrugged, shoving his hands in his pockets. I rolled my eyes and giggled, grabbing my leather jacket and pulling it on.
"You're such a gentleman, Stef." I walked over to the stool I had set up next to the front door and grabbed my keys off the platter on top the stool. "You ready?" I asked holding onto the door handle. He nodded and walked out, me following him, and locking the door behind us. "I hope it's alright that we walk, I haven't had time to buy a car since I bought the house, and school started and everything." I told him, walking in the direction of the woods, where the party was going to be held. He shrugged and shook his head.
"I don't mind, I walk everywhere anyway." He chuckled, and then it was silent between us. Not awkward, just quiet. "Why did you move into town?" Stefan broke the silence.
"Funny story actually, I kind of stalked the Boarding house for about 40 years, just checking up, and I grew to like it here. So I moved in before summer started. Did you know, when I came to your house the first time this year, I just got back from the hospital where Elena was...You know...After you left Elena on the bank of the river, and I had to do CPR on her." I informed him grinning.
"That was you?" He sounded surprised. "When you came over I thought you had just gotten out of the shower, but then again, your clothes were wet too, so that didn't make much sense." He chuckled. I lightly shoved him and smiled.
"So is Elena the reason you're back?" I asked looking down at my heels. After Damon blew me off in 1864, I began to like Stefan, and got close to him and even shed a few tears after I said goodbye to him. It hurt me to see him get hurt by Kathrine, but there wasn't much I could do.
"Yeah... It's an uncanny resemblance, huh?" He jokes and I nod. I look up ahead to see the light of a giant bonfire and nudge Stefan.
"How about you go find Elena and I'll go see if anyone else wants to hang around." I offer a fake, but convincing smile.
"Am-" He started.
"I'll see you later, yeah?" I cut him off and walk away to find Bonnie or Caroline.

My heels would occasionally dig into the dirt I walked on, so I, for most of the party, stayed on the concrete near by. I also hadn't found Bonnie or Caroline, I saw Jeremy a few times but he seemed to drunk to notice me. Matt came to talk, but only for a little before he spotted Elena, and chased after her. Not literally, but yeah. I didn't see Stefan almost the whole party. I was getting awfully bored and going home wasn't much of an option since I was all dressed up anyway, so I decided walking in the woods wouldn't be such a bad idea. The sound of the creatures at night calmed me sometimes, so tranquil. At least it was, until I heard a scream. I was far enough out, that no one would actually see me if I ran with vampire speed, and that's what I did. I found Vicki, Matt's sister, lying on the ground with bite marks on her and she is bleeding. I gasp and run to her body and check if she is still breathing, luckily she is.
"Vicki? Come on Vic wake up." I try to wake her. When that fails, I bite my own wrist and was about to feed my blood to her when something slammed into me, knocking me backward, into a tree. I fell onto my stomach and groaned when I picked myself up. A fog started up and I got up off my knees and held the tree for support. "Who the hell is out here!" I shouted, in attempt to get the attacker to reveal themselves. Another force knocked me back down and this time, I saw it's face, or his face. Black hair, blue eyes, very chiseled jaw line. Damon Salvatore. He flashed his fangs at me and his eyes were black and red with veins under them. "What the hell Damon?" I asked angrily, still pinned under his grip. I scoffed and shoved him off of me, making him stand abruptly. "Get off me." I huffed and stood up. I tried to brush away some of the dirt and leaves that had gotten onto me, but it was no use.
"Amelia?" He questioned, surprised, and let his veins and fangs go away.
"Yeah, it's me you asshole. You got dirt and leaves in my hair." I complained, pulling said leaves out of my hair.
"You're a vampire?" He asked, still surprised. I placed my hands on my hips and glared at him.
"I have been for over 500 years dickhead." I informed.
"Guess it won't hurt then." He just smirked at my confusion, and while my guard was down, he ran behind me and snapped my neck.
