Worlds Apart Dreams Collide

Chapter 1

"Brynn if you don't get your lazy tail up and get ready for this party I will drag you to it in your underwear."

"Ugh Andi Why do i have to go? You were the one invited not me. I really don't want to go. I have nothing to wear."

"It's a party. Find your sexiest skirt and get in the shower. This is our last year of College and we are going to have fun."

"If I must." I really didn't want to go anywhere but when Andi had it in her head to do something there was no stopping her. I went to my closet and grabbed my skinny ripped jeans and my t-shirt that was held together with safety pins. I hit the shower and was out in no time. I dressed quickly applied my smokey eyes and rock star lipstick. I fixed my hair into that faux Mohawk pony that everyone loves. As i was finishing Andi came in with a pair of silver heels. "These would look good with your .......oh OK these wont go with that outfit. How about your knee high high heeled boots?"

"That sounds great, Andi."

"You know you clean up nice when you clean up."

"Remind me again why I'm going to a frat party?"

"Well, you sit at the house between classes, reading or just watching TV. You have to get out some. Have a life."

"I'm slightly offended Andi. I do have a life."

"Oh come on, your my best friend, I haven't seen you date anyone since that loser Raven. He cheated on you with almost every girl on campus and yet you act if it was your fault. You are a successful human being, inventing a shower phone, Never knew there was a demand for one til now. Enjoy your youth for once. Don't be all nerdy all the time."

"I guess I should get out more.I mean I am ahead in all of my classes."

We arrived at the Party just a little after it had started. Andi found her boyfriend Dryw. I wandered around to the drink table and grabbed the stiff plastic cup full of some fruity cocktail. It was mixed fairly strong but the alcohol and fruity juice mixed well. The music was loud and people were pretty much on top of one another. I spotted Siobhan over by the fireplace. I made my way over to her.

"Hey Siobhan, How's it going? How's the article coming along?"

"Hey, Brynn,Its coming, Still researching but you know how that is, Hows your article?"

"It's done.  I have rewrote it twice but its done.I never knew you to be the party type."

"That's funny, I have never seen you at one before. I've seen Andi many times but you never. What brought you here?"

"Research, kidding, actually I'm just tired of hanging out at home. Plus Andi threatened to drag me here in my sweats, you know how she is."

"Unfortunately ya i do. Don't look now but  Eaghan is staring at you."

"No he isn't . Shit he is."

I turned and sure enough he was staring right back at me. I smile and wave and turn away. I don't know how im going to survive this party. I'm not really a party person, but I'm not really a nerd either. I mean yeah I have 4.0 every semester since i started but I participated in sports not on an organized team or anything but still I played a pick up game of baseball or volleyball from time to time.I ran 4 miles every morning and did my best to stay in shape. 

"Hey Siobhan, if you see Andi tell her i stepped outside to get some fresh air. I'll be back in shortly." She simply nodded her head. I doubt she really heard me. I looked around for Andi but didn't see her. She probably snuck upstairs with Dryw. I made my way thru the faceless bodies and grabbed another drink on my way out the back door. I sat on the steps of the deck just staring at the sky when I sensed someone beside me. I turned and there was Eaghan.

"Oh Shit you scared me half  to death. Next time warn someone why don't you."

"I did. I asked if I could join you. You seemed lost in another world. So  I sat down anyways. Where do you go when you do that?"

"I was just thinking."

"Where's Raven? You two are usually stuck together at the mouth."

"We broke up about a month ago. Apparently His love stick is very popular around here."

"Hahaha Did you just say "Love stick"?

"Yeah i guess i did."

"you were too good for him anyways. I couldn't believe you actually went out with him. You could have anyone here and yet you chose that moron."

"Geez be nice why dont you? I dont exactly have the guys knocking down the door you know."

"Hey, Brynn , there you are. Lets go, Me and Dryw are going to the pizza place."

"I can give you a lift if you want to stay longer."

"Thanks Eaghan but I think im going to call it a night. See ya in class."

"What was that about? 

"HUH?"

"Earth to Brynn.....Eaghan the hottest dude on campus  making goo goo eyes at you."

:"I think he had way too much to drink. that's all. He was saying some mean stuff about Raven."

"Sweetie, I'm your friend and all but everyone on campus really hates Raven except the easy girls. The guys hate him. I know you hate him now but it really was a shock when Andi told me you two were dating. And Eaghan doesn't drink."

"Hmmmm"

"Are you in the clouds again Brynn?"

"Sorry, its been an off day for me. "

"What are you thinking about?"

"Andi I really don't have an answer for that. I mean I really think something is coming and I'm the only thing that can stop it."
