I woke up really happy today. Not only am I Chase's girlfriend, but I get to go on my first date. Yes, I said first date. I heard my phone vibrate and looked at the caller ID- ughhhhh!!!!!
"Hello", I yawned and sat up
"Hello! Are you okay?! Is Franklin okay?!", Dad asked and I yawned again
"Yes dad, we're both alright", I replied getting up and going to the bathroom "we're both staying at my friends house..... Did you get a call from the police?"
"Yes..... I did", he sighed and sniffled- was he crying "tell me what happened"
"The day before it happened Franky told me about Nicki having some guy over and they were talking about getting rid me. That guy was the one of the guys who kidnapped me... The next night he came back with the others and try to kill me......", I explained and all the painful memories came back- dammit! Some much for my good ass day "there was a fight, Nicki jumped in and shot..... She died before making it to the hospital"
"I'm sorry Nina", he whispered and my eyes widened "you were right.... Ma would've never wanted me to move on like this. I should've known something was up with Nicki...."
"God, dad it's not your fault", I replied shaking my head and I heard Franky footsteps come towards the bathroom
"Nina?", he yawned and I smiled
"Can I speak to him?", dad asked, guessing he heard him and I handed the phone to him
"It's dad", I mumbled, he took it and went back to the bedroom. I started to get ready and dressed in something nice I could find.
"He said he coming home as soon as possible", Franky sighed and I frowned
"Why so sad? Don't you want to go home?", I asked and he slightly nodded "you really like it here?"
"Yea, Mrs. W is awesome!", he replied and I smiled
"Yeah, she is", I agreed "but we'll visit and I promise we'll do awesome things at home too. Now, go get ready from school". He nodded, gave me my phone then went into the bathroom. I sat on the bed for a while, thinking about everything
"Morning Smiley", someone said I turned to see Chase leaning in my doorway, immediately a smile spread across my lips
"Morning", I replied getting up and giving him a hug "Happy Birthday, you look handsome. Looking that way to impress your girls at school"
"Awww my Smiley is jealous?", he teased and I looked away "you know my only girl is you"
"Ewww! Can you guys do that somewhere else?!", Franky said coming out of the bathroom
"I totally agree with little dude", Clinton spoke coming out of his room
"Oh shush you two!", I death glared them both "and Franky hurry up, before I eat your breakfast!". We all went downstairs to see a big lovely breakfast laid out before us
"Happy Birthday my little Cha Cha!", Rachel squealed pinching Chase's cheeks
"God mom, how many times do I have to tell you? Don't call me that?", he whined sitting down next to me and she laughed
"Cha Cha?", I asked smiling and he groaned
"Don't you start", he commented and I shook my head laughing "and don't forget practice after school today"
"So Clinton, who were you on the phone with all night last night?", asked Rachel eating her pancakes and Clinton nearly chocked on his grits "was it a potential girlfriend?"
