Nina's POV
Today is New Years eve and I seriously can wait for the party. I went shopping with L to get some part dresses, I even got Franklin a little suit with a bowtie- his favorite. Rachel and her friends are at the center right decorating, the Clinton and Chase were doing errands for Rachel, Dad and Franky were out have a guys day and getting cleaned for the party. L is coming over on about a hour to help me with make up and get ready with me. They guys are coming a little after her to drove us there.
The last few months have been getting better. I'm only happy to see Franky and my dad smiling more. Dad have been interacting with us, the neighbors, and Chase's family more. He was a bit sketchy about Chase, but eventually started to like him and let us go out on dates. Chase has been nothing but a sweetheart and treats me like a princess. So far our thanksgiving and Christmas was awesome! Except Chase and Clinton were sick from having a snowball fight with each other, L and I teased them about it till this day. As for presents, Chase got me decorative things for my violin and my dad got me new art tools for my work. Tate comes around sometimes and says how happy he is to see me happy.
I frown just thinking about it.... He still hasn't crossed over.... And here I am having fun with my life
*car screeching*
*gun shoots*
The pot in my hands dropped and I immediately get a bad feeling. I look out the kitchen window and see Chase's car in the driveway
"No no no no no", I whispered running outside into the pouring rain then stop "Chase? Chase?!". Laying in the middle of the walkway in a suit was Chase. I ran to his side and started crying. There two bloody wounds on his chest
"Chase", I gasped trying to hold back the tears and he gave me a small smile
"Y- you have to get out of here", he coughed and I shook my head, holding him closer "they're here... I don't want you to get hurt"
"No! I'm not leaving you", I sobbed feeling the water works coming "come on, I'm taking you inside"
"No Smiley", he chocked and coughed up some blood "I'm not gonna make it"
"Shut up, I'm taking you inside", I cried, not caring about that I look like a baby. I wrapped my arms around him and walked as fast as I could inside. After placing him on the couch, I grabbed the house phone and called 911
"Nina", Chase called and I went to his side
"Don't strain yourself", I told him and he placed his hand on my cheek
"This is the 27th police department, what's your emergency?"
"Yes, I-"
"I love you Smiley", Chase whispered and I froze "I love you...."
"Chase!", I screamed immediately dropping the phone and hugging him "I love you too! Please wake up! Chase please!". He wouldn't wake up.... Dammit! He wouldn't wake up
"I love you..."
"Well, isn't this sweet", it was the last voice that I wanted to hear "you thought I'd give up on you cutie. Now there's no one to come between us"
"I'll give you all the money you want", I sniffled closing Chase's eyes and he laughed
"It was Nikki that wanted the money", he commented and I looked at him "I wanted you"
