(Danny's POV)
we pull into the airports parking lot, and I climb out of my car. Alexandrite is fast asleep in the back seat, and I open the car door to get her up.
"hey, Al, we're here. time to get up." I say, shaking her shoulder gently. she groans out something incomprehensible as she curls up again. Noah raises an eyebrow, and I sigh. I climb in, wrap my arms around her legs and waist, and pull her up and out of the car.
Noah raises his other eyebrow, but stays silent as she cuddles into my chest and sighs contently. gives me a knowing look and turns away.
"whats so funny?" I demand, attempting to be quiet for alexandrites sake. he stops and turns around to study me.
"nothing, its just the first time I've seen you so...happy. you were actually willing to pick her up instead of making her get up herself." he shrugs glancing down at Al.
"your point is?" I ask annoyed at his question dodging.
"its kinda cute, Dan-Dan." he retorts giving me a wink.
I scowl, "whats that sposed to mean?"
"its obvious you like her. its adorable because your pretending not to." he explains, and walks away. I grumble under my breath and walk after him.
we enter the airport, and Noah has already checked our car in to the security desk to be searched so it can go with us on the trip. he pats the chair beside him giving me a grin. I set Al down beside him and sit two seats away. Al leans her head on his shoulder and he looks down at her cautiously. then he looks over at me with questions practically flying at me from his gaze.
I sigh, "I'm only doing this to prove you wrong. I don't like her, in fact if anyone likes her its you." this causes Noah to jump up and get into my face. it also causes Al to wake up and blink sleepily at us as I stand up to face Noah. I'm pretty sure that if it was possible, our intense glaring match would've caused a fire between us. but before THAT fire happened, another equally angry fire shot up between us. Alexandrite.
"what the hell is going on here?" she demands, glaring at each of us.
"this doesn't involve you. go hack to sleep and ill be there in a minute." I say lowly not meeting her gaze.
"no, this has everything to do with her and you know it. you're a coward, you know that? a big. fat. cow-" his sentence is cut off as I push Al out of the way and plant a suckerpunch across his face, sending him stumbling backwards. his facial expression is stunned, but his eyes glaze over with fury and adrenaline. that was a bad move on my part, and I quickly regret it. when someone like Noah is angry, they can black out very easily and do things they'll regret later. he stalks towards me, and Al jumps in front of me as Noah reaches me.
"no, Al. get back, he wouldn't want you to get hurt." I say slowly, keeping a wary eye on Noah.
"he wouldn't hurt me Danny. if this is Noah, then he will snap himself out of it. so I'm staying right here so he doesn't hurt YOU." she replies calmly, not moving from in front of me. god why did she have to be stubborn this way?
"I can handle him myself. now move." I growl, slightly annoyed.
"not a chance." she says back to me, a hint of anger dancing in her tone.
I hated to do this I really did, but I push her out of the way as I see Noah make his move. Al catches herself as noahs body crashes into mine. we roll onto the ground, and Noah lands on top of me. his fists fly out, and I do my best to block his attempts. some security guards approach Noah cautiously, and he catches me by surprise with a punch to my abdomen. I let out a gasp of air and Al is restrained by a guard.
"Noah." she says forcefully. noahs face snaps up and he glares at her menacingly.
"get off him, and regain composure. we are in a public place." she demands, magic flowing into her words. noahs face slackens, and he stands up slowly, emotion completely drained from him as the guards back off and release Al. her concentration remains on Noah, and I raise myself off the ground.
"you may want to grab him, he'll pass out when I let go." she says to me, and I quickly grab onto noahs shoulders. the magic let's go, and Noah practically crashes into my arms, his body completely deadweight.
"that was amazing, Al. I'm sorry I doubted you." I say, glancing at her over my shoulders. she gives me a small smile and walks over to us.
"thanks. Wiccans have a few hundred tricks up their sleeves, you shouldn't underestimate us." she says quietly, turning her attention to Noah.
she mumbles a few words from a language unknown, and presses a finger to his temple. Noah let's out a gasp, and stumbles backwards and falls into a seat.
"what the hell! you used magic on me?" he exclaims, his face pale and bruised. he'll have a black eye in the morning.
"yes I did. you deserved it, and plus, you needed it to calm down." she states, giving him a glare.
"do I look like I'm calmed down?!" Noah demands, his eyes alight.
"well you need to. she was just saving your ass from a group of armed guards and possibly a SWAT team." I retort, stepping in front of Al.
I feel her tense as Noah stands and starts walking towards us. his face is back to its normal color, save for the forming bruise.
he reaches us and puts his hand to my shoulder, pushing slightly. I don't move and he meets my gaze. his eyes have changed from furious to miserable, and I move slowly out of his path.
he grabs Al and pulls her into a gentle hug.
"I'm sorry, I really am greatful you did that. just next time, don't use magic and spells please. it didn't feel too good being controlled like that." he says just loud enough for us to hear. he pulls back and I let out a breath I hadn't realized I'd been holding.
he turns to me, "let's get going, shall we, lover boy?" he teases, but his face is cautious.
"yeah, let's go Sir Tempertantrum." I retort, giving him a small friendly smile to show we're ok.
we grab our boarding passes, go through security, and soon enough we find ourselves sitting in the plane.
