I feel a calmness wash over me, and my eyes crack open to find Danny. Hes sitting on the side where my head is, on the ground, as i lay on Noahs' cot. However i am laying on my stomach with my chin resting on my hands, so he cant see that im awake.

He is slumped against the wall, staring straight ahead. He keeps nodding off, but i can tell he doesnt want to fall asleep in case of an emergency.

Noah had carried the still unconcious body of Brooksy back to our dorm room, and returned ten minutes later stating that he fixed our window and that i could sleep in here tonight. So thats what i did...and Danny insisted on staying here with Alex, but he got bored of their conversation apparently, and came out here.

He tenses as Alex comes out of Noahs' study room, flustered, but doesnt say anything as he walks out the doors. Danny looks after him and frowns, he looks towards Noahs' room, then finally rests his eyes on my "sleeping" form. He tears his gaze away as Noah storms past, scowling as he passes through the door, leaving Danny and I alone.

Danny seems to realize this, and he relaxes. He looks back down at me and smirks.

"I know youre awake, you faker."

I sigh and push myself up so im sitting cross legged.

"took you long enough to notice." I reply, giving him a lazy smile.

"I noticed when Alex left, so it didint take me long exactly." He shrugs, letting out a small chuckle.

"oh." i say, giving a cheesy grin. He laughs, and it echos, making the room close around us in silence.

"On a more serious note, I dont know if Alex will help or not, he hasnt said anything, and he seems to have other things on his mind." He says breaking the silence, facing me and crossing his legs.

"What would convince him to help? He already doesnt trust me, but he trusts you. Maybe if you talk to him about it more-" I say, but he cuts me off.

"I've already tried that, and it doesnt seem to be working. So either a.) we need to get to know eachother better, or b.) You need to prepare to die. Unless we can find someone else who knows how to help us, those are our options." He says flatly, his eyes glowing an ocean blue in the orange sunlight streaming through the window.

"Thats up to you, its your bond afterall." I say, picking at the dirt under my fingernails to avoid his gaze.

"Our bond technically, even though you tried to resist." He replies, his eyes going downcast towards the ground.

"You had no idea what you were doing, so its actually your bond since i did struggle." I say defiantly, taking a quick glance up at him. I meet his gaze and bam im trapped, staring into his eyes.

His gaze seems to be searching, blue and ominous and watchful and wise. I can feel him reaching into my mind. The world around us blurs, and theres just his eyes and mine, staring at eachother like there arent any worries in our two worlds.

But there are, yet we are still staring, our eyes getting closer and closer together.

Theres a loud bang in the corner of our little world, and i hadnt realized how close his face was to mine until i open my eyes for real and meet his startled blue eyes, retreating as Alex and Noah fly through the door, tangled up in a fight.

Danny jumps up, and flits towards them. Theres a loud crack and Alex and Noah are thrown apart in a blast of blue light and flung into the opposite walls of Noahs' art room.

"What the hell is going on?!" Danny asks loudly, looking back and forth between the two as they rise from the ground.

"HE brought up my grudge against my bond, then called me an idiot for not breaking yours already! Its your own fault your in this mess and its up to you to change it! its not my job to help you out of your mistakes! Even if i do want to help, i cant because i dont remember how to break a bond!" Alex yells back at Danny, standing up defensively.
