It was a two-hour drive from the airport to my town. It was the only close airport around. Heading home was something I thought I would be glad about, something I thought I wasn't. But now doing it, not knowing what would be waiting was scary. My family wasn't thing kind you could tell what they were thinking or planning. I can count on both my hands how many times they've tossed me a party without me knowing. For some reason, I felt like that was what I and Harry would see when we went in. A good old family welcomes home, even if it's only for a day surprise party.

Biting my lip and looking worried about twenty minutes past. There was less than an hour before the car would be pulling up to my family's home.

"Okay, I can't take it. What's up?" Harry said.

Should I tell him, what if I do and there's no party; like that would happen. But a girl can wish, can't she.

"Nothing, just nerves."

Harry moved closer, bumping his arm with mine. "Come on it's your family, shouldn't I be the one whose nerves?"

"Well, aren't you?"

"A bit, but I live on nerves. It's a part of my job."

Squinting my eyes, looking at him. How can he be nerves? He's been on stage more times than I would like to count. Is there a site that keeps track of how many times they've been on stage?

"You get nerves?"

"Yea, have you seen a crowd of thousands of screaming girls?"

I gave him a face that read 'what do you think'.

"It can be scary as hell."

Silence filled the car. Then he added, "You'll see when you come to our show tomorrow night." He had a little sideways smile that didn't make me feel 100% save going to their show but I really didn't have a choice. I slipped off his sweatshirt, as I was getting hot in the car.

"You have a bit of a tan." Harry said.

Blush filled my face because it means he had to be looking at me and not just look when speaking to me, but looking at my arms, neck; looking at me.

The car slows to a stop, knowing that means. I'm home. Glancing at the house it looks like no one is home. My heart started back pounding. Harry once again grabbed both of our bags. Step, step, stepping closer I wish once again, I could be some other place. I never thought I would think that about my house.

Opening the door it was dark, that wasn't a good sign. I flipped on the light, screams and yells echoed the room that was filled with fifty smiling family and friends. My heart dropped to my feet as Harry placed his arm around me.
