Natsu x Reader: Something Beautiful

Chapter Six

  After you and Slade both ate the most delicious meal you had ever had, you both joined the other guild members in conversations. At first you didn't have much to say since you were still sorta nervous. Everyone was bombarding you with questions, but then Natsu came up and made some of your nerves go away.

"So (y/n), where are you from?" a girl by the name of Levy ask you.

"Ah well-"

"Does it really matter where she came from?! She's here with us now!" Natsu interjected with a goofy grin. "She-"

"Natsu! You should seriously stop interrupting me..." You crossed your arms and looked irritated.

"What I was just trying to-"

"Eh!"

"Wha-"

"No!" he then stopped trying to say what he was going to say. And Levy just laughed at the two of you.

"It's good to know that you've warmed up to Natsu already (y/n)!" she said with a cute smile and a giggle. After she said this the two of you slightly blushed and looked away from each other trying to hide said blush. This is when Levy pulled you away from Natsu and took you to a group of girls that kept asking questions about "how you met Natsu" and "what you thought of Natsu". It was kinda strange how all of their questions revolved around Natsu and you.


As the afternoon went on you had gotten used to mostly everyone in the guild and become friends with most of them. You were no longer nervous when you talked to them. Although you had noticed that one girl in the guild seemed to avoid you and just watched you from afar. You had figured out that she was Mirajane and Elfman's younger sister named Lisanna. She just seemed like she was glaring at you all the time but you didn't know why. One time after you had gotten used to talking, you decided to go and talk to her but she just made her way to another side of the guild. You decided not to ponder over it too long and went back talking to everyone else.

It was now late afternoon and mostly everyone had gone home, besides you, Natsu, Lucy, Gray, and Erza.

"(y/n), by the way, where are you going to stay tonight?" asked Erza. You hadn't thought of that! You still had no money and therefore you couldn't afford a house or even a hotel.

"She'll stay with me!!!" Natsu yelled out, and happy who was floating next to him yelled out an "Aye Sir!!"

"No way! She can't stay with you! One. Your house is a pig's sty! And two. You're a GUY!!" Lucy rejected his idea. "She can stay with me tonight. That way I can let her borrow some clothes as well."

"No way! You're the best Lucy-san!!" You said with gratitude.

"Yeah no problem!"

"Then we need to go on a mission tomorrow so (y/n) can get some money!"

"That's a great idea Natsu! We can all go together since this will be (y/n)'s first job!" Erza said

"Heh. Natsu? Great idea? That's a first." Gray smirked.

"What did you say popsicle?!" Natsu then slammed heads with Gray.

"You heard me pyro boy!" They were just about to fight at this point witch really worried you since you hadn't known them long enough to know that they fight like this all the time. Before they could throw the first punch Erza walked up behind them and smashed their heads together causing them to fall to the ground in pain. Scary... you thought.

"I thought I told you boys not to fight when I'm around." She scolded them.

"Sorry Erza! We promise we'll get along from now on!" they said as they quickly recovered from the blow and started to hug each other like they were best friends. Well that was a quick change in attitude.

"Alright so we will meet here tomorrow morning to pick out a job?" Lucy proposed.

"Yeah! Sounds good!! I'm all fired up!!" Natsu yelled.

"Natsu we aren't even leaving till tomorrow...Why are you fired up now?" you asked slightly giggling.

"I don't know, I'm just excited that we get to go on your first mission with you..." he said and blushed ever so slightly. Of course you didn't notice it but Lucy sure did.

"All right we should all get home and rest for tomorrow! See you guys!" Erza said. You all then left and of course you and Slade went with Lucy to her apartment. When you guys got there you looked around and noticed that the whole place looked really homey and comfy.

"I know it's not much but this is my home!" she said leading you into the room. She had a bed next to the window, a desk across from it, and a couch in the middle of the room. She had a bathroom and a small kitchen in different rooms. "You can go in there and take a shower first, I will lay out some clothes for you to sleep in on the counter in there." She said showing you witch door led to the bathroom.

"Thank you so much Lucy! And where do you want me to sleep?"

"Oh you take the bed, I'll sleep on the couch until you get a place." She said happily.

"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother."

"Yes I'm sure! And don't ever think you're a bother (y/n), you're my friend so I'm happy to have you."

After you settled things you went into the bathroom to take a shower. Wait... I have no idea how to use a shower! I've always just showered under a waterfall or bathed in a river.

"Ahhh Lucy...." You called out embarrassed at the question you were about to ask.

"Yeah?" she walked over to the bathroom and went inside.

"Well you see.... When I told everyone that I was from a small town and lived on my own... I forgot to mention that I didn't have a shower there. I would always go to a river or a waterfall to shower. So I don't know how this thing works." You said rubbing your neck. You were totally embarrassed now.

"What!? You didn't have a shower!? I don't know how you lived! And it's no problem, I'll just show you!" She kindly walked into the bathroom and started the shower for you. You took note so that you could do it in the future.

After she started the shower, you got in and felt the hot water on your skin. The hot water relaxed all the tension that had built in you throughout the hectic day. You decided that having hot water instead of cold river water was waaaaay better. So far the human world is pretty awesome! You thought as you continued the shower.

A couple minutes later you got out of the shower and found some pajama's that were laying on the bathroom counter. You put them on and noticed how soft they were compared to your regular clothing. You then walked out of the bathroom, into the main room, and saw Slade already asleep next to the pillow on the bed and Lucy sitting at a desk writing something.

"Whatcha writing?" you said to Lucy peeking over her shoulder. She got all flustered and hid the pages that she was writing on.
"Nothing! Nothing..." she said with a fake smile.

"Aw you're not going to show me?" you pouted.

"Gomen (y/n), but I haven't showed anyone but I promise that when I finish I'll show you. Kay?"

"Yeah I understand, and you better show me when you're done. I can't just know you're working on something secretive and not find out." You both giggled.

"Hey if you want we can go ahead and sleep. I'll be taking a shower in the morning." Lucy suggested.

"Alright! I think we should do that. After all Slade is already asleep." You both looked at the small cat and giggled about how cute he looked. You then went and laid down in Lucy's bed. Wow so this is what a bed feels like! It sure beats sleeping on the ground every night! Lucy then got on the couch and pulled some blankets onto her. She reached over towards the lamp that was on and almost turned it off but stopped all of a sudden.

"What is it Lucy?" you asked.

"Hey (y/n)~~ What do you think of Natsu~" she said in a teasing tone.

"W-What? What do you m-mean?" you said while looking away.

"I mean... What do you think of Natsu!"

"Well he was kind of weird when I first met him, but he seems really nice and fun." Now you had a small blush creeping in on your face. So to turn the attention off of yourself you asked her the same question. "Well what about you Lucy? What do you think of him? You said that he was the one who got you into the guild."

"Yeah he seemed really awesome then but now I've learned that he's just a big dork. He's also really stubborn! When he decides to do something there is no way to change his mind." She said laughing. "Come to think of it, when you started fighting, you were like a whole other person. You actually seemed just like Natsu when you were fighting."

"Yeah, I don't know I guess it's because I was so nervous around everyone that I forgot to be more like myself, but when I'm fighting I forget all about my surroundings and I'm myself."

"Well I hope that you are more comfortable to be yourself pretty soon, because you looked really cool when you were fighting!"

"Thanks Lucy! Well we should probably go to sleep now since we have a big day tomorrow." You said.

"Yeah! Your right." She then reached up to the lamp again, this time turning off the light. "Goodnight (y/n)."

"Goodnight Lucy" you said snuggling into the warm covers. The comfort of the bed soon lulled you to sleep.End.

So I didn't like this chapter, it was kinda boring but I got in a few little things that will be appearing later (like the Lisanna thing. I like her but in this story she will be kinda mean :/ )
