20 minutes later

"Knock knock."

"You're one of those." I rolled my eyes. Why did he have to say it instead of actually knocking? I swear, this man annoyed me to hell and back.

I held out my hand.

"Let me see it."

"On one condition."

"Did you name it 'Aiden Lars, an autobiography, written into coherent sentences by Aubrey Day'?"

"Yes."

"YES."

I was still holding out my hand for the manuscript. I could see it in his hands.

"Ah, ah, ahh. On one condition..." I raised my eyebrows, waiting.

"Go out with me."

"Where? I was going to head for lunch soon anyway."

"Not lunch. Dinner."

"Wait. Are you asking me out on a date?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because I like you. God." He said, matter-of-factly.

"How?"

"What do you mean, how?"

"I mean, we don't like each other? We fought over the book for hours. You annoy me. I'm pretty sure I annoy you." I crossed my arms.

"Yeah, you do."

"So, how?"

"You're really smart. And funny."

"THEN WHY DO YOU NEVER LAUGH AT MY JOKES?!" I exploded.

"I have a horrible laugh. All my laughing is done on the inside." Aiden's face turned a shade of pink. Which I did not find insanely cute. At all.

"Weirdo. Nobody cares about your laugh."

"Try being famous and have everything about you criticised."

"Oh yeah."

"Oh yeah?"

"I forgot you were famous."

"What was half of my book about?"

"This weird guy who only drank Smart Water."

"Ha. Ha."

"If you really thought that was funny, you would have laughed. Out loud."

"Guess I didn't find it funny then."

"I guess you can leave then."

"You don't want to see what I've written?"

"Ughhhh, fine. I'll go on a 'date' with you. But in reality it'll be me getting a free meal because I'm such a great person and I turned your work into a best-selling masterpiece."

"You talk too much." He said, handing me the manuscript with a huge smirk on his face.

"You talk too little."
