Chapter 6

I woke up to Luke right next to me. His bright blue eyes staring into mine. He smiles.
"How long have you been up?" I asked him.
"Not that long"
"You could have woken me up you know" he smiled at me.
"You looked peaceful. I didn't want to wake you". He grabbed the top of my hand and kissed it.
"Do you want breakfast" he asked.
"Sure!" I grabbed my phone seeing 25 messages and 15 missed calls from mom.
"FUCK!" Luke hurried by me making sure I was okay.
"What's wrong?" My heart was racing.
"I forgot to tell my mom I was staying at your house". He stared at me with concern.
"Will she be okay with you staying at a guys house?"
"Idk..."
"Why don't you call her and say you crashed at Emily's!"
"Okay"
*phone rings*
"OMG ELLA WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN" I could tell she has been crying by the tone of her voice. Of coarse I screwed up again. I just forgot.
"I'm at Emily's, sorry. It got home late and I forgot to call you". She went silent into the phone.
"Okay. Well I'm glad your are okay. Never do that again okay?"
"Okay mom. Love you" and I hung up. I walked out the door into the kitchen where Luke was looking for breakfast.
"I don't have much. Sorry".
"It's alright. I don't need anything". As he was about to say something there was a knock at the door.
"What's up Lucas!.....E-bear? What are you doing here. Were you two?" I cut him off before he could finish.
"No it were weren't.....it was just..." I didn't know if Luke wanted me to tell him. Luke cut in explaining.
"I took Ella somewhere yesterday and she crashed at my place that's all" good he didn't mention the kiss. I don't want anyone to know unless we are official.
"Okay! Well I wanted to let you know we are heading up to the cafe in an hour to perform".
"Dammit I forgot sorry man. I'll be there!"
"Okay see you two later" winking at me Cory left with silence behind like usual.
"Can I ask you something?" I looked into Luke's eyes wondering if I should ask him.
"Are we..... Like together now". That was awkward please say yes please say yes. I'm going to puke why wont he just answer my question all ready. He is just staring at me. He walks over to me grabbing my hand and kissing me on the lips.
"Does that answer your question" is all he said.
I smiled at him and he smiled back. It's official me and Luke are a couple.

We pulled up to the cafe. I had on leggings with shorts over them with a crop top and boots.
"Wow girl you clean up nice" Brin commented.
"Thanks I learned from the best" she gave me a smile. I saw her eyes gaze towards me and Luke. His arm was around my shoulder. I don't know if I want them to know we are dating yet. It just happened and I don't want everyone making a huge deal out of everything. Luke felt me tense up at the situation.
"We should go get ready" Luke looked at the boys and they all left with Brin following behind.
"I guess it's just us now" Emily cheered. We got a table in the corner of the bar.
"Hello everyone, thank you for coming tonight" Luke's voice was so soft. He smiled flashing his eyes at the crowd. He's the kind of guy every girl falls in love with. The band started playing. Girls were jumping up and down to the music. Guys were getting drunk and checking girls out. After they played three songs they got off stage. Everyone except Luke came to the table. I looked around everywhere but I couldn't find him.
"Where is Luke?" As Cory stuffs his mouth with food he gives me a confusing look.
"Somewhere. Why are you asking?"
"No reason!" I smiled but I don't think they bought it. I look to the corner and see a girl all over Luke. He didn't back away. He didn't care that dirty sluts were all over him. Is this what is going to happen? I mean we are together now and he is practically flirting with other girls. I started to get jealous. It got really hot in there. I couldn't breathe. Tight spaces make me freak out.
"I'll be back" I said to the group. I walked outside with the cool air on me.
"Nervous much?" Some guy with a jean jacket on was standing next to me. He was smoking a cigar. It started to bring me back to that night.
"Um no" I answered. He walked closer to me. All I could smell was his breath against me.
"Your beautiful" he takes my hair and tucks it behind my ear. Please stop. I can't move any more. Everything around me is spinning. He grabs me and tries to but his lips on me. I tried to run but I couldn't.
"GET THE HELL OFF HER" I catch a glimpse of bright blue eyes and that's it. It was Luke. The strangely large man looks at Luke with a deadly face. Luke mouthed him something but I couldn't figure it out. The guy got in his mustang and drove off. The engine soared down the street. I look over at Luke. He's breathing heavy. I have never seen him so mad.
"Are you okay?" He looks at me with concern.
"Yea.... I'm fine". He looks into my eyes knowing I'm lying.
"Come on ill take you home"
"No it's fine. We can stay. We came here to hang with them". He takes a breath and says it again.
"I'm taking you home". There is no point in arguing with Luke. He always gets what he wants. And truthfully I did want to go home. Without any words we got into his car.

"Im sorry about today" we are laying in my bed next to each other. His warm body close to mine.
"Luke I told you it's fine"
"NO ITS NOT" he started to get louder. He notices I jumped a little. He had hurt in his eyes.
"I'm sorry" he grabbed my into his arms holding me tight. I know he didn't mean to get mad. We were laying there side by side in silence. I don't know if I can do this. I love him, but there are so many other things to think about.
"what's wrong?" He notices that I'm over thinking. I usually don't express my feelings but with Luke I can't help it.
"It's just....... Idk everything feels against me. Tonight scared the shit out of me. Knowing that he is still out there anything could happen to me..... Or you. Anyone in his way he will hurt. If you Brin, Emily or Cory ever get hurt it will be my fault. I can't keep anything straight in my head. There is to much going on right now. Everything hurts". He laid there listening to my every word. He didn't say anything. I didn't expect him to say anything. He pulled my closer into his arms. That moment I felt safe. I know our relationship rushed but I feel really close to him. Like Emily told me once. You can't help it when you fall in love. I love Lucas so much but part of my wants to break up with him. If we get to close then he could get hurt. I know he is extraordinarily strong but I don't want to risk it. I just wish all the hurt and confusion would go away.
"I love you" is all I heard in my ear. I didn't say it back. He already knew I loved him. I smiled and my eyes drifted away.
