Chapter 5: The Start of a confusion

Dante leaves his shop immediately after feeling something was off, the presence of y/n was gone so suddenly when she was in the park catching the Devil's hunter attention on what has happened if another devil attacked her. Many questions rushed into his mind as he ran to the park. At the speed he went it took only 5 minutes of a 15 minutes distance from his shop and the park.

Once in the park his first instinct was to look around and see if he sees Y/n by chance, but to no avail there was no trace of you or a trail as if the earth swallowed you up. The fresh scent you had left was starting to fade even so Dante could still detect it as he went to you last location in the park in front of the "Dark Knight" Statue. Not only your scent but he picked up two other scent a women and a man, as clear as day there are no sense of neither you nor the people belonging to the scent. What he did noticed the female had a word scent she was human.

Slowly my eyes flutter open, feeling the sharp ping through my brain as I held onto my head stirring. Feeling light headed but able to look around now you noticed you were not in a bedroom it seemed to be more of a living room a quilted blanket and a soft white couch.

"Where am I? What happened to me, was I kidnapped??" Questions bombards my head as I sat up when suddenly I see a young woman a little older than myself. She was around 5'3 or 5'5" from what I would assume, peachy blond shoulder length and a glistening emerald eyes.

The blonde woman walked over to me with what it seemed to be a cup of tea. Handing me the tea I held on to it and I see her smile. "This will help with your head" She says and not feeling intimidated I drank a bit of the tea little by little and notice that I didn't feel the pinging sensations nor the lightness. "It's an old remedy dear." I hear her say and smile "Thank you" I said. "What happened to me?" I see the blonde woman frown "You were attacked by one of the sinister organization the "The Everlasters."

"Everlasters?" I repeated I then see her nod her head "What do they want with me, what have I done?" wanting answers "You didn't do anything more so is about who you are and where you come from." You looked her puzzled "Where I come from? I'm just a simple girl lived in apartment houses went to school have a job. What does that have anything to do with me?"

At this I see the blonde sigh "Do you remember much of your past your childhood to be more precise" At this you strained your head "I just see a blur. I do remember baking pies with mom and helping father with making a bird house my little sister and running around fields."

"To find your answers you have to remember what's behind those blur in your memory. You are not what you thought you were" you looked at her "Just tell me why and why I am being attacked a lot recently?" She looks at me with an apologetic eyes "That is not me to tell, that is something I am not allowed to tell you. You have to find out yourself."

Puzzled by all of this I pressed on "Why can't you tell me, why are you not allowed to tell me what is going on?" the woman in front of me took a sip from her tea as if to collect her thoughts "A request is all I can inform you. What I can say is ask your parents about where you came from."

At this my expression yelled confusion another question did come to mind "Why have I been attacked recently by strange creatures?" She gave me a weak smile "Well... You are of age now, what you truly are can no longer be hidden in a cloak as before. Now this all the time I have I can no longer speak any further, time to take you back home" before I could even intervene and try to get to stay more and talk a sudden whirling of winds you were on your bedroom and siting on my bed.

For the moment my mind flipped trying to understand what was happening and how you are now in my room if I was somewhere else far. Then her words rings into my head "Look for the truth". Laying back down on the bed I stare at the ceiling wondering "What truth?" you said to yourself.

The moment you appeared back to your home Dante rushed his way to check on you. Your disappearance caused the Devil hunter to be worry more so then he would usually would withy anyone for that matter even so the Devil hunter has yet notice this. Once he stepped into view of y/n's house he meets with a young woman with a peachy blond hair her gentle emerald eyes looks towards Dante as he as well stares back at her.

"I am not here to fight you Dante nor harm Y/n" Dante tensed slightly not believing a word of the woman in-front of him "And I'm supposed to believe that?" was all Dante says "I just want a favor from you Dante." At this it caught the Devil hunter's attention "Please take care of Y/n now more than ever she will be in danger. Can you protect her?" she looked at him almost as if begging "I will protect y/n no matter what" Dante without a second thought said it to her. The blonde hair smiled at Dante mouthing a "Thank you" and disappeared. Dante took a glance at Y/n promising to himself that he will do anything to protect you.
