I was holding on to the bark of a tree trying not to fall of, I was terrified of heights which a lot of my family members were surprised when I first told them, Thinking back to what I get myself into on a daily basis, being scared of heights seemed improbable but the fact was that I was. My new phone buzzed which startled me, causing my balance to sway a little, I hugged the tree more trying to regulate my breathing from my dear experience. You might think over dramatic much but this wasn't just some ditch, I was on the tallest tree there was in New woodland and my death was inevitable if I fell of. Why did I get myself in this situation again, Oh yes to help the Bruns case. Now why would a 15 year old be dealing with a case. You see my family is very strange not like I am any normal, if I were put on a scale between 1 to 10 and 10 being weird I'll be 15. The reason I was probably 15 was closely linked to the fact that in every place I visited with my family I found a dead body, now this ranged from men, women, children and even animals. Imagine me knocking on a the front door with a missing poster and... you know I am going to stop it's pretty depressing. We, as in my family, still don't know why it happened as for as long as I remember it was my thing. When I got older my family had gotten tired of dealing with finding the owners of the bodies so they told me it was my gift so my responsibility although I don't think it works that way. With one thing I learnt was never argue with my family members, they had a 100% probability of winning. So here I was on the Bruns case. Now to answer the second question you were wondering why was mother trying to kill me. For me finding bodies sometimes came naturally, while some had a resistance to it and that was were the problem started. The resistance was in a form of a cover up like someone didn't want me to get involved and trust me I didn't want to get involved I had to was forced if I didn't correct the balance the stench of death became more and it affected the people around it. Plus there was the fact of me dying if I didn't solve the case and dying by getting to close to it. The only good thing was that I knew who was trying to kill me if I didn't correct the balance, that never changed.

As I turned away and began to move in a circular motion around the tree and I saw what I was looking for. The Fallen Down trees. They weren't cut down of course deforestation wasn't allowed in the woods they were laws against it, but from up here they looked irregular and different from the way the other trees had grown. I smiled in delight, I could finally wrap up this case, My excitement came to an end as I found I had to climb down, and that was impossible due to my fear. And panic struck me as I caught a whiff of the air. It smelled like smoke. My head snapped up and I saw it. A forest fire.
