I lifted my fork, putting another few strands of noodles in my mouth. Vegeta sat across from me, chewing on some sausage. We were starting our normal sessions with some good 'breakfast'. Though i suppose noodles aren't really a breakfast dish. But i couldn't help myself, and just made some anyway. I smiled as i ate my tasty meal, and glanced up at Vegeta. For some reason he had stopped his normal, bad mannered, saiyan eating habit. I had guessed that he got more mannered from being around me, but each time I looked at him, he had this certain face that I couldn't quite describe. But I knew that something was bothering him, and I wanted to ask so badly what it was, but I figured to let time decide his choice. Though it still pained me to see him so down. He even seemed less determined than usual. Sure he still kept his angry, annoyed, and shallow character, but it seemed to me that he just wasn't as in the mood to train like usual. I sighed as i finished my bowl of noodles. I glanced over and saw Vegeta poking at his meal with his fork. He rested his head and his hand, and just stared down at his plate. I frowned, and stood up. I walked over towards the kitchen to put my plate away, but stopped by Vegeta. I looked at him. "Prince Vegeta, if your not going to finish your meal, than can I take your plate?" He just shrugged before putting another sausage partially in his mouth, and sliding his plate over to me. It was so odd seeing him this way. Someone who came to this planet, so eager to train, and surpass one of the greatest fighters in the universe, and even wanting to surpass everyone in it, but is now sitting quietly at a table, and not even making eye contact with me. I stared at him for a moment, before taking his plate and putting it away.

As I was grabbing a towel to dry my hands from washing the plates, I heard a shuffling noise behind me. I turned and saw that Vegeta had stood up and was walking off somewhere. I placed the towel down and hurried after him. I made a swift movement, appearing right in his path. He didn't  even flinch. Instead he just looked up slowly and stared at me with empty eyes. I gasped as I saw something in his eyes i didn't expect. Lonelyness. I honestly didn't ever think of Vegeta as being lonely before. But as I thought about it for a moment, it all made sense. He always blocked him self off from the world in his room, and when he trained, he never once looked at me. And each time he ate, he just ate. And when he finished, he stood up, walked over to the sink, and set his plates down before sitting back down quietly. Not once did he do anything else without my permission. It still surprised me today that he even decided to have permission to do something he wanted. I told him the day he came here, that he was free to do what he pleased. And I doubt he forgot it to. Yet as I looked at him right there, as I stood in front of him and he stood in front of me....... I felt like I was doing something wrong. And when I looked at him right then...... he looked like he was missing something..... or someone. And as he walked by me, he looked back sadly, and said. "Save your pity for another time. I just want to be alone right now." And then he was gone.
