If only there was a solution.... that's what was ok Whis' mind as he prepared Lord Beerus' meal of the day. Beerus had shortened his naps after Vegeta arrived, because he was anxious for his chance to fight him. But of course, the stubborn feline would have to wait for his chance to shine.
A few hours had past since Vegeta locked himself in his room, and now Whis found himself preparing yet another meal. Whis mixed up a bowl of a variety of foods, from different delicacy's from around the universe, as well as some fruits of the ritchest taste. But he never forgot to add a new side dish of one of Bulma's earth treats she gave him each time he would visit. Though his preperations were a little slowed down at the thought in his mind. He wished there was a solution to Vegeta's..... 'detachment' from reality. It made his mind throb. He had a lot of ideas to help the saddened Prince, but they were just things he knew the saiyan would find pathetic, or think of as crazy nonsense. And he couldn't just force him to cooperate. Could he?
Whis was so lost in thought that he actually shreiked as he turned around to find Beerus sitting down and staring at him angrily. The Gods tail swayed in agitation, and his ears were pinned back. The usual way of a cat to show he was angered. But even Beerus was surprised at Whis' sudden startle. But his perplexed face soon turned back into one of impatience. "What's the matter Whis? If i didn't know any better, I'd say you forgot about or daily routine, and decided to make yourself your own lunch!" Just then Beerus stood and slammed his hands on the table, holding a fist up in the air. "You know how much I expect Bulma's delicious dishes, but yet I find you insist on fooling around like you expect me to cook my own food for myself?! What kind of idiot do you take me for!!?" Whis looked at him startled, but quickly calmed his features. "My apologies Lord Beerus. I was just.... thinking." Beerus tilted his head, before huffing and sitting down. He rested his head on a hand, drawing circles on the table as he watched Whis sternly. "Oh yeah? Just what kind of thinking? Because if i recall, you think about all sorts of things. Surprisingly." Whis smiled. "Just thinking of ways to make our 'guest' more comfortable" Beerus was now tapping his fingers on the tables surface. "Our guest? Since when do- ....oh! You mean Prince Vegeta?" "Mhmm." Beerus chuckled. "Speaking of which, how much stronger has he gotten? I sure am eager to test out his limits, hehe." Whis sighed. "Lord Beerus you must stop trying to rush things." Whis placed Beerus' food in front of him, the god immediately dove in, no words spoken. Whis watched him for a few moments, before rubbing his head and walking off, to let Beerus eat in peace.
Whis decided to take his everyday walk through the halls of his home. Though by now he knew just what to expect before even turning into the next corner. But even so, he found it relaxing. He chose to ignore checking in on Vegeta, seeing as the Prince was in some destress and drowned in thoughts of his own. But he did take a quick glance at his door as he walked past. He crept silently through the marble floored halls, and admired all the variously colored watercolor paintings that hung loosely on each wall. The atmosphere was so peaceful, and he sometimes wondered how a place so empty and spacious could hold such serenity and intrigue.
As he walked through the wide halls, he couldn't help but stop as he felt an interesting, yet familiar presence. He slowly turned towards an open door, which was cracked open slightly. He could've sworn he remembered to close that one. He cautiously walked towards the door, which led to his meditation room. It was a place he used to clear his mind and relax his tension. Its part of his secret of how he was so outgoing and surprisingly serious all the time. He peeked through the cracked space, and looked around the wide, empty, and glass like room. The floors were like the Time chambers, they let you see your reflection so clear, you wondered if the white look was an illusion. Its a place he had suggested to Vegeta many times, but he stopped after the Prince decided not to step even a foot inside. But now as he set his eyes on a still form sitting in the center, he couldn't help but let a big smile crawl onto his face. There, sitting ever so still, holding his staff securly, with his arms wrapped around it firm, and his head on his knee..... sat Vegeta. He gazed calmly at a random section in the room, and he seemed to be succumbing to its sleepy, yet enlightening feel. Whis felt himself giggle. Of course, how could he have doubted himself. He knew sooner or later the prince would come out of hiding. But even as he saw the Prince's tension slowly leak out of him, he could still sense that Vegeta had a long ways to go till he could become fully relaxed and self controlling. But even more so.... Whis felt that Vegeta missed more than just his 'home'........
