I woke up to the sound of the dogs barking. The front door had opened. I rubbed my eyes and got out of bed. I walked out into the front room and saw that my aunt and cousins were here. I gave them hugs and picked up Scarlette.

"Do you want to go to the dock after I get dressed?" She had been wanting to go fishing for a while now.

"Yes!" She yelled in my ear. I winced and then smiled at her. I set her down and walked into my room. I got dressed and walked out. They were all sitting at the counter, eating breakfast.

I made myself some peanut butter toast and got some water. I took Scarlett down to the metal dock. I baited her hook and helped her cast off. Crystal came down and sat on the metal bench that was attached to the dock.

"You and I should take the paddle boat out and go over to the island." Crystal said.

"Let's do it." I said. My aunt came down and helped Scarlette fish. Crystal and I walked over to where the paddle boat was overturned against a tree. We flipped it over and pushed it over to the dock.

I went inside the basement and found some rope, we tied the boat to the dock. We ran inside and changed into our swimsuits. I was changed first so I walked into the kitchen and filled the water bottles. We grabbed our jeans and tennis shoes. We raced back outside and threw the things into the back of the paddle boat.

We climbed in and set our feet on the pedals. We began to pedal furiously, we really wanted to get to the island.

After about an hour we finally arrived at the island. I wrapped the rope around a fallen tree and grabbed my shoes from the back. I hopped out.

"Abby? What are you doing?" Crystal asked as I started to tug the boat up onto the shore.

"I'm going to explore. Do you want to sit in the boat and scream at me to come back, which won't do anything by the way. Or do you want to go and explore the mysterious island that has been taunting us since we could walk?" I began to tug on my shoes. I grabbed my jeans and pulled them on. I began to walk away.

"Wait for me!" Crystal called, I turned back to see her struggling to get out of the boat. I laughed, she looked up and glared at me. She pulled on her jeans and shoes.

When she looked back up her jaw dropped.

"Wha-" I turned around and my jaw dropped too. There were a whole bunch of people standing there.

"'Ello Princess." A large man said. He raised his hand and smacked my head. I heard Crystal scream and then my vision went black as I fell to the ground.
