Chapter 1

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE'RE MOVING???" Minnie screamed at the top of her lungs. Her mom just told her they were moving to Australia.She didn't want to go. 

"Minnie calm down." 

"HOW CAN I!!??" Minnie stormed upstairs to her room. She was mad. Why move to Sydney Australia when everything they have is right here? 

"Minnie?" 

"Come in." 

"Look sweetheart I know you love it here but it's for a very good reason."

"What reason is that?"

"John's mother left him his childhood home in Sydney in her will and he got a new job promotion at the office in Sydney so we have to go."

"It's gonna be weird. I'm gonna be the little mixed American girl in school."

"So you're gonna go?"

"Yea. I've always wanted to live in Australia."

Luke hated math. His mom may have been a math teacher but he hated the subject. He didn't want to ask his mom for either.  He thought it would be weird. Luke was the loser at school.  He only had one friend named Calum Hood and they had been friends since grade K. He enjoyed his company. 

Luke looked at his watch. It was 2:54. Only one more minute left until school was over. He kept tapping his fingers on his desk and pulling his lip ring. He was ready to get out of there. He had been in here for an hour and a half because of an exam.

"Dude, you ok??" asked Calum.

"Hell no. I'm ready to leave. We've been in here way too long." Luke grumbled.

"Calm down. It's just your ADHD. You can't keep still for long."

Luke knew he was right.  His ADHD was a really big problem for him. No matter how hard Luke tried. He couldn't control it.
  The bell rang and Luke took off like a rocket not even hearing what the teacher was saying. Luke was ready to go home. Running down the hall, he bumped into someone.
 
"Watch where you're going asshole!!!"

Luke looked up amd saw Michael Clifford towering over him.

"You watch it rainbow head!!"

Michael grabbed Luke by shirt and pinned him against the lockers.

"Say it to my face." Michael growled.

Instead of saying it, Luke casually spit in his face. That's when Michael threw him across the hallway and was getting ready to beat Luke to a pulp, when Calum stopped them both.

"Guys chill out before a teacher comes." He yelled pulling the two boys off of each other.

"When I see you out in the streets Hemmings, you're dead meat!!!"

"Not unless I see you first Clifford!!"

Michael and Luke have been enemies since the third grade. It all started over a pack of Oreo cookies. Luke had some Oreos and really didn't want to share them so, Michael took the pack of cookies from his hand and crumbled them into little tiny bits. Luke was furious and the boys got into a fight. A fight which costed Michael the rest of his third grade year. Ever since, the two have been nothing but mean to each other.

"One day Cal, something great is going to come here and make us feel better."

Little did he he know, what he wished for was coming sooner than expected.

Minnie couldn't sleep. It's not because she didn't want to. It's because in a few hours, she would be leaving for Melbourne and the thought frighten her. Was she ready to move?? She honestly didn't know. She just wanted to turn into nothingness and not be there at all. How could they all move to Australia?? She wasn't ready.

The next morning, she was at the airport. She wanted to sob. How could it be here already?

"Now boarding Flight 345 to Melbourne."

Here she goes. Her ticket to a new life in a new country.

Her new life was waiting for her.
