The bell rang for lunch. As people flooded the hallways I waited for Gage in our usual spot by the café'.
"What was that" he said quizzically
"I know, I'm sorry. I haven't been feeling right lately'.
"Well you need to get it together, I can't be dating some fucking weirdo".
I was shocked, why would he say that?
"Umm... I'm sorry"
"You better be" he said in with a firm voice.
Literature, that was my class. Nothing could mess me up in lit.
"You can have a seat next to Elizabeth" Stated Ms. Miller
I looked up to see who my new partner would be.
"Hey" she said as she sat in the chair next to me.
It was Michelle. I tried to choke out the words but couldn't seem to form a sentence.
"Are you okay?"
"Uh, um, y-yeah, fine" as I struggled to annunciate.
I could feel my face flush and turn bright red. As I look at her from the corner of my eye I could see her smiling at me... Her smile was amazing.
