(Four years later)
You sat nervously in the Great Hall next to Draco. This was a big day at Hogwarts... The champions were being picked for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Because you and Draco were only fourth-years, you couldn't enter, even though you desperately wanted too. You and Draco both sat against the wall holding hands under the table.
Dumbledore caught a piece of paper as it flew from the mouth of the goblet. "Fleur Delacour!"
The whole Beauxbaxton table lit up with applause. Fleur walked to the front of the room. You watched her with a glare. You, personally, had never been that impressed. She was too fake, too perfect for your liking. You saw Draco out of the corner of your eye and noticed with irritation that he was gaping at her all the way down the hall and into the little side room where the champions were to meet. You elbowed him in the ribs.
"What?" He asked not tearing his eyes away.
"She's part veela, you know..." You trailed off.
He looked at you a little surprised. "How did you..."
"Anyone can tell! From the way she walks, talks, and looks at other people. Her smile too... It's plastered all over her. Besides, Harry said she was part veela."
"Harry? Since when do you and Harry take each other into the others confidence?" He asked suspiciously.
Brushing off the question, you took a sip of pumpkin juice and turned to applaud Viktor Krum who had just been selected from Drumstrang.
"And last, but not least, Cedric Diggory!" Dumbledore announced the last champion. As Cedric got up from the Hufflepuff table to the applause of all his fellow housemates, he threw a longing glance at you, as if asking for approval. Blushing a little, you smiled back and turned a deep red. This increased his smile and he sauntered up to the head of the room. This incident did not go unnoticed by Draco.
"I don't like how he looks at you, Alora. He's from Hufflepuff. And he's a stuck up git." Draco's face contorted as if he had just smelled something rotting.
"Nonsense! Cedric is very down to earth. That's one reason why he's in Hufflepuff." You say with a laugh. "Don't worry, Draco, if you fear me to be in any danger with Cedric. I like him as a friend yes, but not as a lover." You gave him a knowing smile.
He let out a breath in relief and hugged you quickly. "No one's gonna take you from me, Alora."
You shifted a little uncomfortably at his words but smiled back, "I love you, Draco."
The silence in the Great Hall was cut short by a red light flashing on the walls and another piece of paper flying from the mouth of the goblet.
"What the..." You start, standing up a little bit to get a better view.
"Harry Potter." Dumbledore says in a monotone. Gasps echo through the hall. Hermione pushes Harry up, and he stumbled to the front of the room. You bit your lip in anxiety... How did he get in? He was too young.
"I... I need to use the bathroom... Be right back..." You mumbled incoherently to Draco as you got up and somehow made it out of the Great Hall and into the corridor. Taking it at a blind run, you ran to a door... The one where you knew Harry would exit from. As you neared, you heard raised voices. The door slowly opened and Harry slipped out.
"Harry?!" You whispered. He jumped and turned around.
"Oh, Alora, it's you." He said dismally.
You stood for a moment opposite him, not sure what to say. He looked down at his feet.
"I didn't put my name in if that's what you're wondering." He said quietly.
"I believe you... But who did?" You ask breathlessly, tears welling up in your eyes.
"I don't know..." He trailed off.
"Alora!" Draco's voice cut sharply into your train of thought. "I thought you said you had to use the bathroom?" He asked eyeing Harry with a mean glare.
"Uh... Yes, I was just in my way back and ran into Harry. Trying to find out who put his name in the goblet." You answered as nonchalantly as possible.
"Himself, of course. Don't have enough fame and fortune, eh, Potter? Or are you just seeking the attention of the ladies?" He asked as he grabbed your arm and pulled you back into him.
"Neither," Harry seethed.
"Come on let's go," you sighed to Draco and taking his arm pulled him back towards the Great Hall. As you walked back, you turned your head back to Harry and mouthed, "Be careful!"
