Jack's POV
I woke up to the sound of an angel singing Lego House. I slowly sat up, and looked into the kitchen. Elsa was in there singing to her stomach.
"Morning Elsa." I said rubbing my eyes.
"Morning Jack." she said.
I stretched out and walked to the kitchen.
"Need help?"
"No, I'm just making some breakfast." she said.
"What is for breakfast?"
"Breakfast sandwiches for Alice and you, and fresh fruit and toast with avocado for me."
"Hey, I'll make the sandwiches."
"Jack, you don't have to. I can cook on my own." she said.
"I know, but I want to." I smiled. She chuckled at me, then handed me the bacon. I cooked while I watched her wash and slice up all of the fruit. She made the toast for all of us, then smeared avocado on her two pieces.
"Why not butter?" I asked.
"Avocado has both protein and healthy fats in them. I need both, and smoked meats and processed meats are not good to have during pregnancy." she answered.
I did not know that.
"Of course you didn't. You are a guy, so you don't have to know anything about this stuff." she said, "And you said your thoughts out loud."
Anyway I finished making breakfast for Alice and I, and put Alice's in the fridge for later. Then Elsa and I sat down at the table and ate our breakfast.
"You know, I think this is the first time both of us sat down here and ate a meal." I said.
"Yeah, I guess." she shrugged.
"Isn't this better than eating alone?" I smirked.
"Meh, I'm used to being alone. You just get used to the loneliness after so long."
"Admit it, this is better."
"Nope, never." she chuckled, and continued eating. Once we both finished, we put our dishes into the sink, and left to go get dressed.
I threw on a pair of black jeans, a grey sweater, black shoes, and a black leather jacket. Elsa had on a pair of black leather maternity leggings, a black and white stripped shirt, black jacket, black heeled lace up boots, and a wine colored hat. Her hair was down and she had a smidge of makeup on.
I followed her into her TT room, where Bunny was resting.
She typed in stuff on her computer on the wall, and her amazing sniper riffle came out.
"How does it work, the computer?"
"Well, I used to have all of my stuff in this room, but it eventually took me forever to find stuff. So I had a room remodeled and organized all of my gun. An old friend helped me program the crane. It memorizes every weapon and its location. I type in what I want, and the crane retrieves it and sends it to me." she said, "There is a special code chip on each weapon so the crane can locate the weapon as well as put it back in the same place."
Impressive and efficient system.
She took apart her sniper riffle and shoved it into a large leather shoulder bag.
"Come on, let's go." she said.
"You're helping her?" Bunny said waking up.
"No, but I really want to see how this gun works." I said.
