Return of the Frost

Jack's POV

I have been at my house hanging out for 5 months, and it is our families late Christmas reunion! Emma was over along with my parents!

When I was in the agency I could never hang out with them, so I always look forward to family get togethers now.

"So, how is my brother doing?" Emma asked holding her baby girl. Yeah, she already has a baby. She married at 19 to her high school sweetheart, and 2 years later had a kid.

"Great." I smiled.

"So, got a girlfriend, job, and/or traveling plans?" she asked me.

"The first two no, but I want to go and see Germany next month." I said.

"How can someone with no job, take trips around the globe?" she asked.

"I got paid really well before I retired." I chuckled, "What about you Ems?"

"I just had a baby, I can't leave it home alone." she said.

"Yeah I g............" I started, but my phone went off, "One minute Emma." I said, then walked out into an empty room and picked the phone up.

J: Hello?

A: Jack, this is Alice!

J: Alice? Why are you calling me? And how did you even get my number?

A: Aunt Elsa had it on her phone, and she needs you!

J: What?

A: Hurry, no time!

At that minute everything froze, and I was in total shock.

J: Fine, I'll be there first thing in the morning.

I hung up, then had a pleasant dinner with my family. All of them were talking about what is going on with them. Emma going on about being married and having a kid, my parents going about retiring and things involving their friends, then of course their jabs about not seeing anyone or having kids. This happens every get together, so by now it is a joke to everyone.

I am single by choice, it is a personal preference.

Anyway after we ate and all exchanged gifts, they left and said we would all meet at their place on Easter.

After that I got in my car, and drove to the one place in the Burgesses that I promised myself I would never go again..... Elsa's penthouse.

Yes I had to drive there because the winter weather here was too bad to fly.

When I got there, it was already 8 in the morning. It took a lot of courage, but after the small pep talk I walked up the stairs in the building, and knocked on the door. Alice was the one who opened it, and she had a big smile on her face.

"You came!" she said and hugged me.

"Yeah." I chuckled as she dragged me in.

"Alice!" Elsa's voice called from her bedroom, "Could you please grab my coat? The black one with red designs."

"Okay!" Alice called out, and ran off into the coat closet.

Elsa walked out of her bedroom, and I was shocked. She had on a pair of black skinny jeans, black heeled boots, and a fitted gray sweater. That however wasn't what shocked me, she had a small baby bump, either that or she gained weight only in her stomach region.

"Elsa?" I asked, and she looked at me shocked.

"Jack?"

"Good, you two are here!" Alice said handing Elsa her coat, "Talk, now." she said.
