Things to notice in the Percy Jackson series(Books 1-3)

Book 1- The Lightening Thief

'You shall go west, and find the god who has turned

You shall find what was stolen and see it saftey returned

Book one: The lightning thief

If you have the Percy Jackson books then you can look up the page numbers included. These are just little details or little facts to notice in the PJO books, that I thought were neat. Enjoy!

I do not own the Percy Jackson series! And I'm not making fun of Rick Riordan, who actually owns the Percy Jackson series.

Front Cover-If you look where Percy is standing, you'll notice he's using his powers, or else he'd be 20,000 feet under the surface.

He's wearing a orange camp half-blood shirt.

And he's carrying the Minotaur horn, that he left at camp.

P.10-

'Some of the kids were whispering: "Did you see-"

"-the water-"

"-like grabbed her-"'

If you add the sentence fragments up, you get one sentence, that makes sense.

(Did you see, the water [like]grabbed her.)

P.25- Percy sees three creepy old ladies knitting a giant sock, THIS IS IMPORTANT LATER IN THE SERIES!

(but yet its only a page long!?!)

P.42- Grover yells '"O Zeu kai alloi theoi!"' Which Percy says is a Greek cuss, in the rest of the series, if someone curses it says:

'__insert name here__ cursed in ancient Greek'

P.60-'I was alone. A orphan. I would have to live with...Smelly Gabe? No. That would never happen. I would live on the streets first. I would pretend I was seventeen and join the army. Is do something.'

Don't you feel the love Percy has for his step-father?

P.75- 'I was checking out the brass eagle weather vane on top when something caught my eye, a shadow in the upper mist window of the attic gable. Something had moved the curtain, just for a second,and I got the discrete impression I was being watched.'

Do you ever find out what it was? At first I thought it was the Oracle, then I thought it was Annabeth. But it never tells you.

P.105-'"...Also, I should tell you that we have a new camper today. Peter Johnson."'

This was the first time he(Mr. D) called Percy, Peter, but most defiantly not the last.

P.121-A Ares camper slashed Percy's arm, leaving a deep cut, and...

'"No maiming" I managed to say.

"Oops," the guy said."Guess I lost my dessert privilege."'

I hope he's not serious, cutting someone on purpose and you only loose your dessert privileges!?! But I guess that's camp half-blood for ya!

P.131-'Grover trotted inside, looking worried."Mr. D wants to see you."

"Why?"

"He wants to kill...I mean, is better let him tell you."'

That's always a good sign.

P.141-(the prophecy)

P.180-Medusa tells Percy she'll take care of his statue, but crumpled Annabeth's to dust, because of their parents. Isn't that fair?

P.198-'Another time, toward evening, I saw something huge moving through the woods. I could've sworn it was a lion, except lions don't live wild in America, and this thing was the size of a bummer. It's fur glittered gold in the evening light. It leaped through the trees and it was gone.'

Could this be the Nemean Lion in 'the Titans Curse'?

P.215-'I came ashore next to a floating McDonald's.'

(One paragraph later)

'A little girl said, "Mama! That boy walked right out of the river."

"That's nice, dear," her mother said, craning her neck to watch the ambulances.

"But he's dry!"

"That's nice, dear."'

Even in storys, parents don't belive their children. So sad.

P.222-'Just then a big Lincoln Continental pulled into the car wash with its stereo turned to the.maximum hip-hop. As the car slid into the next stall, the brass from the subwoofers vibrated so much, it shook the pavement

"Chiron had to-What's that noise?" Luke yelled.

"I'll take care of it!" Annabeth yelled back, looking very revived to have an excuse to get out of sight."Grover, come on!"'

Wattpad user 'TheNcoley411' wrote a story called 'The lightning thief through Annabeth's eyes' and she wrote what Annabeth did to the driver of the loud car. And truthfully she couldn't have done a better job, I was laughing my head off. If you want to check it out, the Watt code is 749717.

P.227-'"Why don't turn you into a prairie dog and run you over with my Harley? Because I don't feel like it..."'

Ares says more but I'm too lazy to write the rest of the paragraph.

For those who don't know a prairie dog is, its a small rodent that looks like a squirrel with a small stubby tail. I used to live by a whole bunch. They live in big families underground. Here's a link to a pic.

P.243-'Great, I thought. Well make the papers tomorrow. I imagined the headlines: 'TWELVE-YEAR-OLD OUTLAW BEATS UP DEFENCELESS BIKER.''

The (quote) 'defenceless biker' is Ares, so I imagine the headlines saying: 'TWELVE-YEAR-OLD OUTLAW MYSTERIOUSLY EXPLODED WHILE TALKING TO BIKER' or something like that.

P.252-'I looked over at the next desk and saw a girl sitting there also wearing a straight jacket. She was my age, with unruly black, punk-style hair, dark eyeliner around here stormy green eyes, and freckles across her nose. Somehow I knew who she was. She was Thalia, daughter of Zues.'

Right here Thalia has stormy green eyes, but in the sea of monsters she has electric blue eyes.

P.301-'...I could see people being chased by hellhounds, burned at the stake, forced to run naked through cactus patches or listening to opera music. I could just make out a tiny hill, with an ant-sized figure of Sisyphus struggling to move his bolder to the top.'

If you're like me and you check out the 'Percy Jackson: demigod files' out of the library, three short stories are included. In the 'Sword of Hades' Percy actually talks to Sisyphus.

P.369-'"Goodbye, Percy. A new golden age is coming. You won't be part of it."'

IMPORTANT LINE FOR THE REST OF THE SERIES!!! Or at least its said two more times, maybe more.
