"Don't worry okay? Everything will be fine", even though Blaze tried to comfort the girl, even she didn't look that confident.

"I know, Blaze, thanks."

They were currently standing at the entrance of their school's gym, waiting for others to show up in order to go inside the Halloween party. There was no word from James after that night, it was like he disappeared into thin air. Even though the girl was scared shitless, she knew that Blaze was in a worse condition. After that one text, he hadn't answered any of her phone calls or messages.

They both knew they were doomed and there was nothing they could do to change that.

"What's up, bitches? Are you ready to party?" Derek yelled while approaching, throwing his arm around the girl's shoulder. The others followed soon and they all went into the building.

It was impressive. As impressive as a gym could get. It was dark. Lights were dim and purplish, there were balloons everywhere and it looked like someone actually made an effort to decorate.

There were a lot of people, the place was packed. Music was blaring from the speakers, creating a fuzzy atmosphere.

"I'm gonna get some drinks. Anyone want anything?" Chris asked over the music, looking over at Roxy, "Red Bull-Vodka, babe?"

"Yeah, thanks."

"Okay, anyone else?"

"Vodka."

"Shmeks!"

"Punch, please."

"Whoa, what the fuck, I ain't got eight mother fucking hands! Someone come help me!"

"I'll go." The girl offered, knowing that the only way to get through tonight, was to get drunk herself.

"Thanks, little one."

She just smiled, here goes nothing, she thought.

After a couple of hours of drinking, dancing, even more drinking and still no sight of James, the girl decided to go outside.

She felt suffocated, like she couldn't breathe stuck in the middle of all these people on the dance floor.

"Where you going?" Blaze tried to yell over the music.

"Outside, need to get some fresh air."

"Want me to come with you?" Blaze looked worried now, the girl knew that she felt very guilty and blamed herself for the whole James fiasco.

"No, Blaze, it's fine, really."

"You sure? I'm gonna try to call James one more time, maybe he'll pick up", Blaze's voice sounded desperate, she was on the verge of breaking down. "I'm so sorry, okay?", her eyes started to tear up, "I really thought he was different. And now look where that got you. If something happens to you tonight, I'll- I'll..."

"Hey, listen. It's fine, okay? I'm fine and nothing's going to happen. I'll be fine, I swear", the girl tried to comfort her as best as she could, " I'm gonna go outside, get some fresh air and then we'll go home and watch movies. Sound good? We've been here for hours and Ace still hasn't showed up, I'm sure James gave him the money on time."

It was true. Ace was nowhere to be seen. Derek had been talking about him non-stop since the rumors were confirmed that he was back after he won the fight at The Slash , the fight that she and Blaze didn't stick around to watch. Derek wasn't the only one to be excited by his return, everyone was talking about the Spades Gang being in town. There were rumors going around that Ace had already managed to fuck three girls that night, all at the same time. Needless, to say, the rest of the female population was breathlessly anticipating his appearance at the Halloween Masquerade Ball. The girl one one of them, but for all the wrong reasons.
