I am so disgusted with the Bro code. Well, not all of it like, you should always have your bro's back, and a bro can't cockblock without some serious reason is all okay but the fact that you can't date your "bro's" sister, or ex, or basically not do any of your bro's girl is downright cheap and sexist. Like, what is 'your bro's girl'?? You don't own your sister or former girlfriend or crush or whatever?
And if you have a brother your age, don't just DO NOT begin to have a tad bit of feeling for one of his friends (who apparently are your friends too) because they will kick you only because they decide to stick to the Bro code because 'bros before hoes' and because "I'd never do that to your baby sister dude". Okay I love my brother and all but the fact that you'd think about his approval before me punctures my ego so bad, you have no idea.
Dating is a bit extreme. In all other mediocre circumstances, you see them looking upto your brother to ask him if this is okay in some sort of eye and hand gesture and you're standing there like, okay I thought I was an actual person who could decide? And I also hate it because we don't have a girl code?? Even if we did, nobody would stick to it because 'my boy' is more important.
Also, advice, don't bond with your brother's girlfriend. Maybe it's just me complaining about everything but I can't help it. It calms me at least I'm not gossiping. Or I'm gossiping with my phone heh. You need to pat everybody who manages to keep their feelings at bay and not be selfish to risk not one, but two friendships. It is hard. Believe me when I say that. You're on the verge of spilling but you stop because you'd ruin everything. Even rejection is better than this. And how much can a girl do? Get some hints dude. You can have whatever with whomever if there's consent from both sides. Grow up. And DON'T keep someone waiting. Ever. That is the worst thing you could do to anybody. Don't show that affection; it does stupid, stupid things to my stupid heart. And if you do, don't take it all away, it breaks me.
A real bro would man up and let his bro do whatever the fuck he wants to, actually.
Nothing really happened but it dawned me all of a sudden that this is so shit and yeah whatever.
